Ice Cube makes his own movies. HE CONTROLS WHAT HE DOES BY THE NAME THAT HE MADE FOR HIMSELF! He didn't sell out and still gave his fans what they wanted. LEGEND.
I'm black and I have no issues with black men/women dating out of their race, I do however have an issue with those blacks who insult other blacks to please white people or try to look good in front of white people (Herman Cain, Larry Elder, Allen West).
How did cube sell out those movies are made by him and his own production company a white man aint signing his checks he makes his own money he is idependent
Ice Cube got old thats why he dnt got the same attitude anymore.. Same as Eminem and Snoop. Once they hit the 30s they start to careless about keeping that hardcore image and attitude they had against pop... Although Cube never sold out to MTV or ever went pop.
all he saying damn is remember where you came from it not raicst at all. was it raicst when yall whites was getting off with black death in america no alright then let go into history this was made in 1992 when rodeny king got beat
What happen to Ice Cube? Answer. African Americans allowed hip hop a art form that they created. To be owned and controlled by some one else. Those who now control hip hop desires for rappers to now rap about niggas being shot, hoes being fucked, european luxury brands being consumed, and dollars raining on exotic dancers. True To The Game could never be released in 2012. Ownership is the key black people...ownership.
video so true what happen to you ice cube? you just like the nigga in your verses. this shit aint racist just dont associate with other members outside yo race cuz they dont care about you.
Dissing N.W.A in the video, Ice Cube is a kidnapper, and he kidnaps many rappers (many resembling his former bandmates.) that aren't "true to the game" by referring them as "record sellers".

He threw Hammer in the trunk but Hammer never sold out, Hammer was always himself. He said he was gonna help all his brothers with 3 strikes, i guess that meant making kids movies and gettin rich. Still he was legandary and taught me a lot, so idk, whatever......
lol look at icecube now. In kids movies. A sell out that once spoke about selling out. Cant tell me nothing! Nothing wrong with making money and getting out there. He is very successful and should be everyone's aim. However he is a bit of a hypocrite.
This video/song is dedicated to Herman "Stepinfetchit Uncle Remus" Cain. Mr. Cain, the GOP is using you as their token negro and you will be back in the fields like Michael Steel. So keep laughing and smiling while and enjoy your new found fame while you still can because it will all be over when they boot your ass out!
I love Ice Cube, but this song is super racist. Anyone who buys into this needs to watch the "What Would You Do?" episode entitled "Interracial Couple." It's here on Youtube.
@ThePhrozenPhoenix The video is not racist. He's talking about black people will do anything to get excepted by white people while the whites are calling that black person n-gger behind his back. I'm black and I'm not racist at all but I also know that that racism still exists. You still have to be socially aware of what's going on. There is still racism in this world today.
@honeegrrl I'm sorry, but you're wrong. This video is blatantly racist. Ice Cube makes it very clear that he has a serious problem with a black man marrying a white woman. The only reason he kidnaps the first man in the video is because the guy is married to a white wife and doesn't live a stereotypically "black" lifestyle (which is outrageous and ridiculous). There is racism today, but not so much against blacks anymore. Middle Easterners/Muslims are the greatest targets of modern day racism.
@ThePhrozenPhoenix No this video is not racist and there is nothing wrong with dating out of your race. What Ice Cube is actually saying is a lot of black men will put black women down when their dating non-black women. He's talking about blacks who will do anything to be accepted by whites, even put down other black people. He's talking about blacks who tolerate racism from whites. I know the type of black people he's talking about.
@honeegrrl And where is there proof in the lyrics of that? I looked at the lyrics of the song (and just watch the video, what in either the lyrics or the video validates what you're saying?), he says "Ya wanna put a white bitch on your elbow, Moving out your neighborhood.." He hates black men who date/marry white women and move out of the hood (which is the most illogical of all, everybody wants to move out of a bad neighborhood).
@ThePhrozenPhoenix Nah he is saying exactly what she said "he is against those brothers and sistas that put down their race." He is just acknowledging tha truth in which some black men when they "rise" up in society they get a white woman just because it looks good and when he says "moving out your neighboorhood" he is talking about the ones that put down their neighboorhood like it was all bad...when in actuality the "hood" breeds the best people in the world. Most down to earth go gettas ever
@honeegrrl He then goes on to say "Tryna be white or Jew..." Just listen to his song "Cave Bitch" from Lethal Injection, or "Black Korea" from Death Certificate. Look, I love Ice Cube, but his lyrics are horribly racist and misogynistic. Do you honestly not see that? I mean he hates black people who don't live what Ice Cube believes is a black lifestyle. Ice Cube feels that if you don't live in a ghetto, have an office job, and don't sag your pants, you're not a true black man — which is idiotic
@ThePhrozenPhoenix Honestly, I don't think your perspective comes from a place where you'd actually understand these lyrics. You pointed out that he said, "Tryna be White or a Jew"...but you didn't finish the line. It goes, "Tryna be White or a Jew, but ask yourself, Who Are They to Be Equal to?"...and if that doesn't make sense then I dont know what will. He's talking to Black Men that understand the Perspective he's speaking from. It's hard to grasp it if you're not who he's speaking to.
@honeegrrl Well said. For example,"Cave Bitch" is a lot like this song, just slightly more offensive, but even in that one he says to the white girl he's addressing that she can: "still be a fan, just don't try to get my dick in your hand" - or something like that. "Enemy", though, is another matter entirely. Hopefully he was just having a bad day when he wrote that song. But overall I agree, and Ice Cube's alleged former "Black Supremacist views" are hugely overstated.
@ThePhrozenPhoenix I'm black and I have dated out of my race but I still am proud of being black. I don't put down other black people to please white people. He doesn't kidnap the guy for marrying a white woman, he kidnaps the guy for forgetting he's black and there are still whites out there who hate him and the black guy either knows it and doesn't care or he's too dumb to realize it.
@ThePhrozenPhoenix I don't believe Ice is against marrying outside of their race, he's only against those who put down their own race do please another race. I have seen that before from blacks and other races. They forget where they come from.
I like how Ice Cube in 1991 looks the same as today! (Snoop and Dre look very different; you can actually see Dre getting older and as for Snoop... well... you know how he looks)
I believe that Ice Cube has remained true to the game musically he has matured and never turned on his principles. Movie wise I think he has done well, remember the music audience is different from the movie one. My wife and kids like his movies and he potrays good images in all his parts.
@TheBibleIsLame My point of the video was that these guys did what Cube was talking about in the early nineties after he said this. President Mugabe raises emotions but he was right to take land how can less than 5% of the population own more than 80% of the arable land, and it is now part of our heritage.
@jiggabonis lupe is good though. but lil wayne and wiz khalifa basically only rap about how pot is their lives haha i think pot is stupid but even if i didn't ya know the same story gets old haha
@2UNlQUE To me selling out is changing your whole image to sound more ignorant for the mainstream i.e. dumbass suburban white kids. For example, Lil Wayne "The Block is Hot" era from the early 2000s compared to "Carter 4" era Wayne is sellin out. The Predator Ice Cube compared to "I Am The West" Ice Cube is more pollitically charged and less funk oriented with more similes. And if you can make a album every 2 years and make millions off of doing movies you are the greatest hustler ever.
I think he was talking about Dr. Dre in the first verse.Watch the video and listen to what Cube saying. The second guy he was talking about was MC Hammer.Poor Hammer get dissed real bad.The third guy was a straight up sell-out.They drew that monkey, lol, that was too funny. And this fool laughed right with them, lol.Glad I don't have no sellout homies.Cube aint no sellout. He just making movies for the kids.Honestly,we all wished we could be in his position! We have to be real about it.Support him!!!
I dont consider Ice Cube a sellout. He's a black family man who mostly does tv shows and movies for families now. How is he selling out when he remains a positive figure as a black man? I don't see him disrespecting his wife (in real life or on TV), he isn't uplifting white people and selling out his race, he just grew up and became more family oriented. At least he is not cooning out and making a fool of himself. Lil Wayne is more of a sellout than Ice Cube
@EaZiiDuzzIt105 the same thing that happen to Snoop Dog one minute he was chilling with the homies sippin on gin and juice next thing i know he's playing with gummy bears and cooking with martha stewart LOL
@EaZiiDuzzIt105 He got older. Same with Redman. Redman was REDMAN from 1992-1996. Now he's comical but really, though? Can't expect a dude in his 40's to still get as gritty when you have a family and acheived a certain level of success.
this is a serious social and racial issue that we are still dealing with to this day when niggas get a record deal, professional sports contract, or they get a little education they think that they're above their own race and go chill with all the white people now this ain't no dis to white people cuz i got plenty white friends but i don't change my personality or style for them and this ain't all the rich black people it's just the ones who act white as snow when they get some money
ice cube stayed true to the game alright, he was a suburban dude who played characters to make money and get famous, from NWA to today. none of that shit was real, look at him today.
@myboyz24 after he sold himself out for MTV making dance records with vanilla ice. Hammer had been out since 84 and went out for the money in the early 90's then he lost his MTV fanbase and tried to gain his black audience again trying to make g-funk records. also he lost all creativity as well. he sampled so much for his albums because all he did was try and land a hit or two where he could dance
@big973e So would you say Diddy(then Puff Daddy) had a little bit of Hammer in him around the late 90s with all the sampling & dancing & shiny suits he was wearing around that time in his videos?
@myboyz24 hammer stole complete hooks in addition to beats. diddy the rapper was trash so he is irrelevant but diddy the marketer was terrible. besides biggie he failed many times at making a "mainstream thug". mase vs the lox, g-dep vs shyne, he effed up black rob for a bit. he failed with making the band with rappers and had to go to danity kane and the boy band. after biggie he should have gave it up. he could never make you believe bad boy artists were truly grimey unless they left bad boy
@myboyz24 This song is from 1992, not the "late 90s." "Puff Daddy" (as he was known back then) was still working as the A&R guy for Uptown Records. He wasn't doing the shiny suit thing yet.
@Dre259 so doin a coors commercial is a sellout. when bill o'reily got ludacris knocked from a pepsi endorsement because of his music(when he had dreads) for the osbournes? ice cube didnt go make a track with Kreysheawn, Justin Beieber, Katy Perry or make songs about cranking that incredible hulk to sell records. Dude had less than 20 grand to promote this album and was lucky to make two videos for it and it is easily one of the 50 best rap/hip-hop albums ever and he hasnt changed his views
@toodarkmark Well remember that he's no longer a spring chicken anymore either, lol. Which is why he turned to acting and he's doing kids movies and stuff. But this song still holds truth.
@POWohnomypants yeah all thought his latest album wasn't as awesome as raw footage or the albums before that he's still really talented MC and still rep's the westside hard! cube isn't just doing "fuck tha police" kinda stuff but he's over 40 years old, has money and a family. I wouldn't respect cube if he was still strapped with an AK and shouting fuck tha police..
Ice Cube is a real westcoast hip hop legend... he is NWA,Yo-Yo, Del Da Funkee Homosapiens, Kam, K-Dee, Mack 10, Lench Mob, Re-WC, Westside Connection & a early (1990-1995) solo perfect career

I Think Some Of Today's Rappers Need To Listen To This Song, (Lil Wayne,Wiz Khalifa, Lupe Fiasco, etc.) Especially The Second Verse.
jiggabonis 7 months ago 28
@jiggabonis lupe is good though. but lil wayne and wiz khalifa basically only rap about how pot is their lives haha i think pot is stupid but even if i didn't ya know the same story gets old haha

@jiggabonis lupe fiasco is one of the best rappers out there today, listen to some of his less popular songs, they are good
bcballer13 6 months ago
@jiggabonis Yeah they should I mean it's coming from a sell out hypocrite who is in kids movies.
2UNlQUE 4 months ago
@2UNlQUE To me selling out is changing your whole image to sound more ignorant for the mainstream i.e. dumbass suburban white kids. For example, Lil Wayne "The Block is Hot" era from the early 2000s compared to "Carter 4" era Wayne is sellin out. The Predator Ice Cube compared to "I Am The West" Ice Cube is more pollitically charged and less funk oriented with more similes. And if you can make a album every 2 years and make millions off of doing movies you are the greatest hustler ever.
jiggabonis 4 months ago
For those who are confused Ice Cube is the One who is Black Masked, he has a Coors in his pocket!
nfldraftday2007 7 months ago
I think he was talking about Dr. Dre in the first verse.Watch the video and listen to what Cube saying. The second guy he was talking about was MC Hammer.Poor Hammer get dissed real bad.The third guy was a straight up sell-out.They drew that monkey, lol, that was too funny. And this fool laughed right with them, lol.Glad I don't have no sellout homies.Cube aint no sellout. He just making movies for the kids.Honestly,we all wished we could be in his position! We have to be real about it.Support him!!!
Ajtori93 7 months ago

RoI74125 7 months ago

This song should apply to Herman Cain, like Ice Cube said, they'll have a new N-gga next year.

@Dre259 shut up nigga dont be hatin on cube he better dan hammer anyway
MrAfrothunder187 8 months ago
@Dre259 The sad part is, MC Hammer made it possible for rappers to do commercials & ads in magazines. But yet he got crucified when he did it.
myboyz24 5 months ago
@myboyz24 after he sold himself out for MTV making dance records with vanilla ice. Hammer had been out since 84 and went out for the money in the early 90's then he lost his MTV fanbase and tried to gain his black audience again trying to make g-funk records. also he lost all creativity as well. he sampled so much for his albums because all he did was try and land a hit or two where he could dance
big973e 5 months ago in playlist Ice Cube, Dub C, Mack-10
@big973e So would you say Diddy(then Puff Daddy) had a little bit of Hammer in him around the late 90s with all the sampling & dancing & shiny suits he was wearing around that time in his videos?
myboyz24 5 months ago
@myboyz24 hammer stole complete hooks in addition to beats. diddy the rapper was trash so he is irrelevant but diddy the marketer was terrible. besides biggie he failed many times at making a "mainstream thug". mase vs the lox, g-dep vs shyne, he effed up black rob for a bit. he failed with making the band with rappers and had to go to danity kane and the boy band. after biggie he should have gave it up. he could never make you believe bad boy artists were truly grimey unless they left bad boy
big973e 5 months ago
@big973e Don't forget he also screwed over the first ever act on Bad Boy-Craig Mack as well as New Edition's last album.
myboyz24 5 months ago
@myboyz24 as well as not being able to land Jodeci and losing out on missy elliot and timbaland and magoo
big973e 5 months ago
@myboyz24 This song is from 1992, not the "late 90s." "Puff Daddy" (as he was known back then) was still working as the A&R guy for Uptown Records. He wasn't doing the shiny suit thing yet.
felipestrong 2 months ago
@felipestrong but with all the dancing & sampling from popular songs he was doing-you could tell Diddy was influenced by Hammer
myboyz24 2 months ago

@toodarkmark Atleast he still makes real music, he ain't all gone.
POWohnomypants 4 months ago
@POWohnomypants yeah all thought his latest album wasn't as awesome as raw footage or the albums before that he's still really talented MC and still rep's the westside hard! cube isn't just doing "fuck tha police" kinda stuff but he's over 40 years old, has money and a family. I wouldn't respect cube if he was still strapped with an AK and shouting fuck tha police..
