Yep - hard as fucking nails. There's that infamous story about how he suffered a major infection of the hand, and it got swollen with pus just before he was due to go out for a match, and he told a wrestler (I forget who) to stamp on it to burst the pustule and drain it out. The guy refused, until Kellett told him if he didn't do it, he'd break his thumb. The guy stamped on the hand really hard, blood and pus everywhere, Les just cleaned his hand up and went out, cool as a cucumber. Legend.

these to in the ring is pure gold and i think brian totally got how to work with les just amazing brian dancing round with his "hows about that then" and "you won't make a monkey out of me boy " and les just laughing his head of all the match wrestling today is missing the comedy gimmic les had it down to a fine art it saddens me to think when u think of wrestling from this era that most ppl think of big daddy who was a real ass hole outside the ring but les was the true hard man of wrestling

I love this match, both wrestlers are hilarouse and as far as wrestling goes there crowd psychology is spot on, if I was a kid and went to watch this match Id have been going nuts!! god bless both Glover and Kellet
