@ wolfrover i know wahine, lei and ukulele are real hawaiian words!!I'm from hawaii,I'm hawaiian & I speak hawaiian.I know its just somebody writing a song for people who wouldn't question weather or not he's speaking hawaiian word.
@nesiansoulallstars I hope this song doesn't offend Hawaiians. It's meant to be obvious gibberish, especially since he says words that have different meanings like "sis boom bah" and "wanta poka". I'm from Texas and had never even been to Hawaii when I first heard this song and I knew he was making it up. Now I live on Maui, heh.
This guy is even better in person, I have loved him for over 30 years.

This was the first Prine song I heard growing up. I was hooked from then on. Wish more people knew and appreciated his music.

i wonder how many people thinks those are real words he's saying?!? the only real hawaiian word is "ALOHA"
nesiansoulallstars 10 months ago
@nesiansoulallstars Not quite. "Lei", "Wahine" and "Ukulele" are real Hawai'ian words, too. But yeah, most of it is gibberish.
My grandmother liked Don Ho, okay?
