As for the fon's RAM limitations, that can be easily fixed (asuming you know to rework SMD chips, or even better own a hotair rework station) Just swap the chip (It uses PC133 SDRAM, you can pull off of old SDRAM sticks that use 4 bank/2mbit/16bit withd chips) and patch the firmware to accept the new memory capacity (in the case of the fon2100 i believe it is redboot).
