  • Hahahaha, mine does this at like 7 in the morning.

  • @Imnikole hahaha oh birds. I hear macaws and amazons near my barn every dawn and dusk screaming away! Luckily this one screams when she thinks she is in danger, or when I come home from college. At least they are nice screamers though.

  • That's a pretty sound! I would barely call that "screaming," lol.

  • @sdraper2011 hahaha I guess I have been blessed with a shrilly bird and not a screaming bird.. but none the less, its not my favorite sound from her :P

  • Wow, that's actually a pretty trill of a scream. It could just be the sound quality of the video, but I gotta say, although my Quinn (a BH Pi) generally likes to squeak in a quiet, ramble of a voice, he has this really, really loud and harsh squawk that he puts into play when he's frustrated and/or angry (as when I have been vacuuming too long or, unfortunately, when my parents visit....)! Yours has a lovely scream, in my humble opinion! :)

  • @susaneharley haha, I figured I would put this up for the ppl interested in a Pionus but never heard them scream (and it actually is that trill)... Sometimes though I think she has a louder one when we dont pay attention to her. I can only imagine how much louder yours is compared to mine! My goodness! Funny yours doesnt like the vacuum, mine thinks its bath time when the vacuum is on! I actually have a video of that!

  • That's not too bad compared to what I have to put up with having two Maxi's in the house.

    Bart Thegreyparrot

  • @GreyParrotMedia She is really great, I never really do hear her. But I do feel your pain when it comes to loud screaming... I had a macaw once.

  • Yes, Nani likes shiny things too. I've had my hoop earings ripped out a few times but I wear the kind that come off easily so no damage done thank goodness!

So Claude only screams like that when the wind hits her? Does she scream in the house much?

  • @PBuzo Yeah, I think she just gets nervous when it's windy. But she rarely ever screams like that in the house. The only time she does is when it's breeding season, which only, thankfully, happens once or twice a year. And even then she doesnt scream for very long, only when she cant see me. If I leave for a bit I put on some nature sounds of birds and she is totally fine.

  • haha, and I want a "I will do whatever you want, because I dont want to get in trouble" kind. I already have a mischievous one. :-)

  • @PBuzo It's always good to have both kinds so you never get bored haha. There is one thing about Claude that irks me, she loves shiny things. She just broke my necklace chain, she has been working on it for weeks and it broke off, little dingdong!!

  • Hawk Heads are soooo cool looking! Yes I will definitely put up videos of my baby when it comes :-)

  • @PBuzo I love their colors, but that mischievous and fiesty attitude is exactly what I want haha... my bird is like the "I will do whatever you want, because I dont want to get in trouble" kind.

  • Aw she laid eggs, cute. Nani (my Caique) has never laid but then again she's only 2 years old. I'll be getting a baby BW Pi in about 3 weeks. I couldn't decide between a BW and a BH but after I saw your video I decided on the BW!

  • @PBuzo Awesome! And good to see that my video has helped in your final decision. I do wish I got her as a baby, but there is always bird number 2!! ~in a while haha~ I am thinking of a BH or a Hawk Head.

You should definitely put up videos of you lil guy when he arrives!

  • I can't imagine why anyone would want to get rid of her. Did she have behavioral issues?

  • @PBuzo Not any that I have found, yet haha. She is a sweet girl, I think though she was raised at a kind of bird farm because she cannot fly properly, she is afraid of water, and she has a hard time trusting people, she never bites though, never, not even complete strangers. But now she is a happy healthy bird, sitting in her make shift nest on some eggs hahaa

  • How old is she? She's beautiful!

  • @PBuzo Thank you!! She is a sweetie. She is about 10 years old, I am not quite sure, her previous owners dropped her off at a bird store so I decided to pick her up... that was about a year and a half ago.
