It's insane that this only had one episode.... i never heard the reason, but why did this not end up getting more episodes?? Was it considered too violent?? Fun Fact: It has one of the highest ratings for a TV show of all time on IMDB with a rating of 8.9, and it did this with only ONE episode EVER!!!

@PvtGermanWagz to be fair, it's possible that it has such a high rating because it only has a single episode. Series' inevitably get tired over seasons, even throughout individual seasons. I think what we see here is more apt for a movie.

Personally, I love the tongue in cheek dark humour, but I find it doesn't have to be quite as violent as it is to make the same point.

I can definitely agree that this show deserved more than one episode...I mean it's actually an incredible leap for Aaron Springer and Genndy Tartakovsky outside the usual "safer for children" programs! But I think I know why Metalocalypse and such are still on and this isn't: Cost. Adult Swim can only make so many cartoons and I guess shows like Metalocalypse are really cheap to make (it's basically animation from Macromedia Flash) while this show looks be more like cel animation
