Its cool that you put a Cummins in there, but why didn't you clean is up a bit? Paint the block and valve covers, clean up the wiring. etc. I don't know if it is just me, but when I go and put something together that takes time id like it to be clean when finished.

pretty sick truck, exactly what i want to do with mine... i had a 6.0 and whoever said that was a good motor your wrong.... theres def. ways you can fix it but it'll cost you way more then its worth. Your better off jus droping a cummins in there. And the only reason the 7.3l is good is because its built by international and its def a stong motor but doesnt nearly match up to the cummins if you ask me

because a 12v is simpler, more reliable, gets better mileage, and can make power easier. the highest hp 12v (215hp) is only 20hp less than the 24v (235hp). Plus you dont have to worry about the injection pump going out like on the VP44 24v's. Also, you can get 150+hp in less than an hour by messing with the P7100 on a 12v, versus having to spend 400-1000 on a programmer for a 24v, which probably wont even put out as much power.

A 7.3 is a slow ass motor, sure it pulls great and is very reliable, but come on compared to a built 12v?? the drag trucks running 9s 10s and 11s have 12v cummins motors in them for a reason. you see 12v swaps all day long, but never see any 7.3 swaps do u? Sure u might be a powerstroke fan or whatever, but get real man a 12v is just a way better motor when comapring the two. Smaller,cheaper, 2 less cylinders, and simple I-6 design

The 6.0 is actually a good motor the only problems are with the egr valve/valley and the head studs otherwise the motor is better then the 7.3 2001-2003.5. the problem lies with ford being in a hurry to put something new on the market to compete with gm and the duramax lb7/lly.

I own an 01 with a 7.3 that I use to haul hay, cattle, whatever. It is a great motor and has been dead reliable. However, stating all this there is no doubt in my mind that the Cummins is still a better motor. All I see is that he took a great truck and made it better.
