Q1 multiplayer since 1997. Not to mention being sponsored in Q3 and CS 1.3-1.5 back in the day.

Back in Q3 you could play console people on a PC...however they used a keyboard and mouse combo, so they weren't terrible. These days controllers are totally inferior to Keyboard/mouse combo in FPS and Strategy games. This isn't even arguable. Even the best console players admit this.

More accurate, more binds, strafe jumping possible...

You think? I had a 360 for awhile. It was all kids rage yelling into microphones and team shooting. I got decent but the game pace is WAY too slow for FPS. Sure a couple realism shooters are ok (I prefer simulations over faux realism shooters like MW), but FPS was meant to be fast and those games require much more skill. That is why the Quake community is small - large learning curves scare kids away, so older people play it. Check out a video called AnnihilatioN.

I thought that what u are saying was what it is ( couple years ago, i guess), but when u learn to use a controller correctly, u can be awesome. By pace, I mean how fast characters move on the screen.

Go to Google, type "Quake Live", install it (it is a browser based game), play for 2 weeks. See how fast people move (strafe jumping is a technique that takes months of not years to master) and see how incredibly unbelievable some of the players are. If anything, just join a high rank server and spec the top player. You will realize that no console player could do that on a console.
