  • what is the meaning of binabalatan? and nilalagayan? can you please help me out

  • omg, i think my Tagalog is much better than her and i'm half Filipino, what a shame, i came here to learn more and i've got the worst teacher ever.

  • As for "Sit down", the more respectful way of saying it is "Maupo po kayo" or even "Maupo po sila", in contrast with "Maupo ka".

  • "How old are you?" - most people would say "Ilang taong ka na?" than "Gaano ka na katanda?", although Gaano ka na katanda?" is the Tagalog translation word-for-word.

  • Correction: "How old are you?" - "Ilang taon ka na?"

  • I treally agree with Dan94519. you are a very beautiful and poised young lady. I would be very happy to take private tutorials from such a nice kind teacher such as yourself!!!!

  • You are a good teacher.. I like the subtitles, very infomative.

  • mag-aral po ako mabuti po sa tagalog to english

  • PWEDE BANG MAKAHINGI NG BASO NG TUBIG?

  • tagalog is not the only language or dialect in the philippines.................palihog koreksyoni ay.

  • may langaw siya sa noo

  • Eshey you are a very pretty and intelligent woman. Thanks so much for this. You are both entertaining and informative. Your so comfortable in front of the camera, I think you would make a great TV program host.

  • mahangin ba sa labas ha ha

  • authentic filipino

with a fan in the background

  • Mas masarap yung Oreo pagsinawsaw sa gatas! lol

    Mahusay!

  • HOW OLD ARE YOU MEANS= ilang taon ka na?

  • Filipino is what we call for the language of the Philippines.Tagalog is just a dialect just like Bicolano, Ilonggo. Ilocano, Cebuano. etc.

  • Could you be my personal Tagalog tutor?

I learn very fast when pretty ladies like you teach me.

  • ..Actually, I'm a very slow learner. You might have to spend months teaching me privately!... hahaha

  • XD

    pinoy talaga ang galing XD

  • Thank you for the help Eshey. I'm an American that needs to learn Tagalog and you videos are a big help. Please don't delete anything.

    Thanks,

  • You did the Caramell Dansen O: I loved that. I have trouble pronouncing pangalan D:

  • I agree! A great ending.

    Sangayon ako! Magandang katapusan.

  • Great! I'm subscribing! I am trying to learn Tagalog and your videos are a real help in achieving that goal. Does the particle "ng" in "baso ng tubig" signify a possessive? Can you also say "baso[ng] ng tubig?" (w/ the suffix -ng) And BTW, I was expecting you to say that you wanted baso ng gata:-P

  • And I must say, your English is perfect :)

  • were in phillipines can i be your friends

    im albert

  • this is really helpful! thank you! or wait.. Salamat! and im a bit confused on the Please part. My dad (who is also filipino) says that it is Paki, and others say it is Po or opo? ugh. please help!!!

  • You are correct in thinking that paki=please! po and opo are just formalities. You can also say Paki po! (please sir/ma'am) Opo is the formal "yes" where oo is a common "yes". So if you are talking to your friends and they ask you a question to which your response is yes, you would say "oo". If your grandparents were to ask you a similar question, you would respond "opo". It is also the same for "no": "hindi" or "hindi po".

  • oops im sorry this was a reply to ErinT94

  • Wow! you are a great singer...nice singing voice. I am hoping to learn a lot of tagalog phrases from you.

  • your vid is more interestng (especially with your lively gestures) than the tagalog self learning materials that i bought. thanks and keep it coming.

  • i like your videos

    eshey maganda :)

  • wait wait wait, your going to fast here, im filipino but i dont understand tagalog well. ok let me give it a shot *ahem* ...

Qu'est-ce que c'est and pangalan mo?

  • thanks for teaching me taglog.i am new i been talking to my women 3 years in phillpines its me time to learn speak u laugage

  • oooh! lol.. my dad is always bothering me about learning tagalog.. and he's tired of translating shows lol XD

  • MAARI = CAN(eng) or PUEDE(spa). Please is not Maari.

  • Thanks DS, ur comments are very helpful! So can the tagalog PWEDE be interchanged with MAARI? And the root HINGI is more or less GIVE ME?

  • yes PWEDE(borrowed from spanish) and MAARI are the basically the same. HINGI virtually means GIVE ME but not literally. HINGI can be a noun or verb with some pre/suffix. PAHINGI, HINGIAN, HININGIAN etc.

  • subscribe! this is great. thanks.

  • hin eshey i saw one of your video and is interting, butis not easy, i know some english, and i speak spanish, i will love to learn more about tagalog, couse i will be traveling soom toy uo beutifull country, thanks any way

  • hi it would be a little easy for you since tagalog have alot of spanish mixed in it(with modified spelling in most cases). i also speak enlish/tagalog and decent spanish. mesa, tenedor, cuchara, carne, pastel, pie are the same. Most of the filipinos can understand spanish number system also.

  • gano kana katanda''?? ok yun haa!!!

  • it's okay to say gano ka na katanda.. it's understandable and i understood all her tagalog and i did not even notice any mistakes lol.. it's still tagalog

  • you can also say, 'Anong edad mo?' .same meaning :).

  • pinoy pride!

  • idol galing mo gawa kapa ng marami natutuo na ako sayo eh he.he.

  • how would people learn proper english if the teacher dont know how to..? speak english or is that about my tagalog :D

i'm not really a tagalog teacher you know, i do this videos for fun. thank you for the corrections thought, you seem to know tagalog better than i do. :D

  • gano ka na katanda? is that ryt? it suppose to be, ilang taon ka na? LOL. how would people learn proper english if the teacher dont know how to. MAARI? its (YOU MAY) not please. well, u can say pls anyway. but maari is MAY.

  • OK, so how do you say PLEASE, then? Is PLEASE used much, or do u just add PO when being polite even when talking to someone younger? In English, you can say PLEASE when you really mean YES, PLEASE. As in, "Want some coffee?" "PLEASE." Can you use MAARI like that?

  • ...and by the way what about HUMINGI, Eshey? What's dat mean?? ^_^ (kailangan akong dictionary!)

  • lol. ur so magulo. what did i just wrote? "u CAN say PLS" anyway. oh god. read first before u comment LOL.

  • lol, ok ok, I guess u r saying PLEASE in tagalog is PLEEZ! I guess GULO must mean DENSE, lol. Is SORRY in tagalog SAW-REE lol?

  • there's no PLEASE in tagalog exactly. instead we add pre/suffx in some words to add courtesy. PO/OPO is one but used alone is like YES+courtesy. OO is YES in tagalog, but when speaking with elders for example we use OPO. So when you say 'give me please' it's 'pahingi po'. hope that helps.

  • OMG SINO UNG DUMAAN SA LIKOD MO!

  • kumusta ka? you are very maganda, seksi! of course my gf would kill me if she knew i thought so cuz shes pinay too^^

  • what is that song at the end ?

  • girl shut your got booty up

  • pango lol

  • and proud to be filipino. :P

  • dude ur totally saying the r's wrong in tagalog... our r's have a kurog hindi american style pero its kind of like spanish... does that ring a bell? Just correcting you...

  • As for her pronunciation of "R" - it's more Americanized than Hispanized in some places. The pronunciation of Tagalog "R" is normally closer to Spanish "R". But that's the trend in Metro Manila nowadays - many people there pronounce the "R" the American way, especially when the "R" is the last part of a syllable - like "LUGAR" ("place") or "ORTIGAS" (an urban center in Pasig City). That pronunciation is also prominent in the words "MERON" ("have") and "PARANG" ("like", "resemble")...

  • Napakmaganda ka Bebot. May Asawa Ka Ba? oooohhh baby. lol Joke Joke Joke. I almost stoped watching when You picked up the water. Water and OREOs do not mix. N-E-ways I'm a Tagalog speeking American. you were'nt my teacher but I wish you were.
