This was at the Municipal Auditorium in New Orleans...(it still exists, saw Lyle Lovett there about 3 years ago. I was there for Gino, great show. Gino is the best.....
That IS my dear friend Dave Marrotta here on bass. Dave, if you read this, this is drummer AW in Mtry. Can't wait to see you and perform some more gigs together. This is a PRICELESS video.
I have a VHS copy of this concert somewhere. It was shown on "Night Flight" on the USA Network (anyone remember that one?) As someone has already mentioned, Mark Craney was a drummer that never got the credit that he deserved. His playing along with the guitar work of Carlos Rios on "Brother To Brother" is tremendous. The guitarist featured in the video clip shown here is Daryl Stuermer who is best known for his work in Genesis.
By all means grab a copy of "Brother To Brother" a.s.a.p.
Me too on Grand theft Auto.. I was high on weed heard it and was hooked on it ever since. The running beat is different than the game though. But i still love it.
this is my boy right her. My mother is a huge fan. I like a lot the albums in the 70's. I don't really like any of his work in the 80's. Gino's a genius when it comes to his lyrics and Joe with the music production.
The most brilliant artist on his genre I've ever known in my whole life! Thanks for posting this incridible artist! It just bring back precious memories from the past!
My brains were blown on first hearing Gino in 1979. This version of the track from the phonomenal 'Brother to Brother' album is so powerful. Stunning muscianship and energy. Gino is undoubtedly a Genius.
I saw him three times in a progressively bigger areas. I loved him. Me and two friends wore white linen suits to the concert complete with platforms (at the time it made sense, lol. But we did wear shirts lol.
no matter how many times I watch this video Gino still just blows me away, there is nothing better than watching Gino and his music, he is the sexist, most gorgeous singer that there ever was and that will ever be, they don't make singers like this anymore,
aside from gino and joe vannelli being THE BEST, they both are such nice people. i know....i am grateful for what they did for me...jackie trudel-lane
Thought I'd post another comment on here. I can play the intro to "Appaloosa" on my cello. I've always wanted to learn some kind of Gino Vannelli song on my cello. This is one of them. Something different from the daily classical grind.
That ending is just too much!!! I can feel the groove and found myself imitating his remove-the-critters-from-my-pants dance. I started dancing in my room but just went nuts and ended up on my front lawn...my poor neighbors!
Yeah, he kind of does that Jim Morrison thing at the end. I was watching that and I'm like....OMG!!!!!!! And the crowd is going nuts! I'm surprised that Gino got away with that! This was the 70s--go figure!
Gino, I saw three times, each time in a bigger venue, He was very humble and loved his audiences. Look at his face at the end. It says, did you like it? I gave my best & held back just enough that I could finish my show. What a lovely man.
I think I must have died and gone to Gino heaven, I so adore this man there is nothing that he ever did that is just not wonderful, what a man, I truly appreciate Gino more than any singer in my lifetime. thanks so much for the video and please keep them coming, does anyone have Keep on walking available
Sounds every bit as good as the original recording-even funkier,maybe-incredible session players there(Vannelli's dancing is a bit over-the-top,though).Thanks a mint,Nalexan!
everytime I think Gino cannot top his last video he does, this is awesome, terrific, exciting, just plain beautiful, with Gino at his finest, voice, looks everything
A non-pretentious happy dance on a super sexy guy--you don't see that often.

Wonderful footage. I remember seeing this on a late 70's
T.V. show called, Nite Flite. As a teenager, I was a huge fan
of Gino Vannelli. It's good see that he's still performing.
He's one of the greatest!

I'm surprised no one got arrested while on stage or while filming this clip. The end is kind of extreme, but it's all Gino!

I Agree!! Loved his style and feel. He went too early. I didn't realize he toured with Gino after
the Studio album. What ever happened to Carlos Rios...guitarist on the album?
