ibless and his satans are very patient. they plan on leading mankind from one small misstep into the hellfire. it's like when you tell yourself, eh, i am stealing a pen from work. it's just a pen, who cares. then tomorrow you steal a notepad. then you steal some office funds. then you lie on your taxes and deceive even more. it never ends and now this is who you have become. be always on guard against satan for he is man's greatest enemy.

barsisa was from amongst the jews of israel. from whom the teaching's were passed to them from the prophet moses. barsisa was a very religious man. but was tricked by the devil. but barsisa cannot blame the devil and only himself. the story of barsisa should be an example for all of those who claim that they are religious and very close to Allah. but shaytan(satan) is very cunning. the story of barsisa starts fom a small sin ending up to a great sin.

From my understanding, there may be some questions to the chain of authenticity for the story of barsisa. So, it may be true or it may not be true. However, since this story does not derive any fiqh or islamic rulings from it, we can still derive significant benefit from this story.

One think I'd like to add, Shaytaan might have had lots of knowledge, but the difference was he did not implement it, and he disbeleived despite having knowledge.

So people might say if he had knowledge, why wasn't he Muslim? --> Just because a person knows everything about alcohol (have knowledge), including that it can kill you, doesn't mean he'll stop drinking it (implementing knowledge)!

Also, knowledge does not = wisdom! :)
