I never understood why I needed a parade again?? I mean sure "some" of these guys are hot, but really?? Half naked just to celebrate your sexuality?! I never understood why I needed a parade again?? I mean sure "some" of these guys are hot, but really?? Half naked just to celebrate your sexuality?! @BreakOutTheLobsters By acting different from everyone else, you make yourself stand out as different from everyone else. the parades and all that shit is what makes people wonder. If you were just the gay guy across the street it would just become normal and no one would feel threatened. I'm not saying it's not crazy that people HATE other people for personal choices, such as who they sleep with, but the gay crowd sure seem to enjoy standing out and then wonder why they are standing out.

Prejudice against homosexuals, for example, most likely stems from the days when infant mortality rates were very high, and if you weren't contributing to the continuation of the species, well, that wasn't acceptable. I have 2 gay neighbors, who I would never know were gay if they hadn't told me. They don't run around with rainbow flags and stickers on their cars, and wear t-shirts claiming how awesomely gay they are... which makes them highly accepted in predominately right-wing/white/conservative area

My grandfather is an italian immigrant and he and his brothers were always fighting with with polish and black kids... that's just how it went... and not one got stabbed or shot... so something had to happen in the past 80 or so years. Something is different now.
