Before that final line, Ezra Fitton says another thing which is sad and funny. "Do you know who he put me in mind of, Lucy? The way he walked out of that door. It could have been him." During the final credits the same music is played in march tempo which was a nice touch.
I loved this movie. The music reminds me of the film, not the other way around. This piece brings up the scene when the mother is talking about being young and having the paint fight with her husband's best friend right before he walked out of their lives forever.
@LeChatonAvecUnFouet Perhaps the most poignant moment in this movie was the final line when the father says to his younger son, who was puzzled to see him weeping, "That's life, son. At your age it'll make you laugh but one day it'll make you bloody cry!"
If you have seen this film, the actor who plays Hywel Bennetts' brother is Murray Head, who went on to record "One Night In Bangkok",a slight cultural change from Rochdale and Bolton,he is also the brother of actor Anthony Head.
led zeppelin were the masters of stealing songs. stairway to heaven, dazed and confused, bring it on home, how ,any more times, endless classics wonderfully snitched by plant and paige.
The Beatles have always been my favorite band and I knew that Paul wrote the soundtrack to this movie, but never heard it until now. Absolutly gorgeous!!!

My favourite film. You just know it's by Paul. this is not the original. It's good, though.

Reminds me " Here There and Everywhere" which was also composed in 1966 by Paul. You'll get the hints if you listen carefully.

"Love In The Open Air" is a melody Paul wrote. George Martin supposedly helped him arrange it for the movie.
