Im european and I remeber those times. I think the video with the blond chick, was to the european countries. See, in most of european countries, Disco was completly outdated. Out of fashion, by the punk invasion (that was not happened in the states, at all ! )

So, I think they replace the singer, and the dancing, to a more no-disco image, but rather a kind of robot image and funk.
