  • I like the fact that you created this video, but I'm disappointed that the steps which were most challenging to you were not recorded. Seeing how you overcame those challenges would have been the most valuable part of the sequence.

  • Bad idea marking the old and new timing belts. There are dots on the engine that should be used. A lot of important steps left out of this video. Pure shade tree mechinics.

  • please help me change my fuel injectors on my 99 odyssey! they are bad and my van is running like crap.. please make a video about them... please!!

  • Many many decades ago I went to auto mechanics school. The best thing I was taught there was "Always protect your hands. You might want to touch something other then a car someday." Nitrile gloves are cheap and they help a lot in keeping oils and grease off your hands as well. This is a good video. When you replace the water pump glue that o-ring gasket in place with s little silicone adhesive. It will keep it from falling out and also help it to seal. But over all a good job guys.

  • 2001 Honda Odyssey Timing Belts and Water Pump Part 2 very helpfull for repairing my Honda minvan!

  • nice

  • Good video thanks!!

  • Thank-you for making this video. I will be changing the timming belt on my 2001 Odyssey shortly, your video was really helpful!

BTW: I don't bother replacing the transmission fluid on this car. We only get about 1 1/2 years out of a transmission. We have had 5 new ones so far. Luckily, Honda extended the warranty for us to 207,000 miles. But in a normal transmission, I agree it needs to be replaced.

  • @bcourtenaya Holy Crap!! Wow thats extensive!! How many miles are on her now?

  • uncle dave do u mind to replaced my timing belt on my gmc van also??? hehehe!!! jk, what a nice friend to have like dave,,,lucky you (honda owner) save you a bunch of money for sure. thanks for showing this video i learned something here.

  • how many hour did you spend

  • could you, or dave, please tell me how many quarts of transmission fluid is required after drained? Thank you

  • my 2001 acura cl 3.2 looses 3qt exactly everytime i drain it, Trans.. It holds about 8 so you change 3. Run it. Then do it 2 more times and it gets most of it. Safer than flushing as it does not disturb sediment. The plug is a 3/8 ratchet without a socket.
