I believe that the reason it says "Pok e mon" instead of simply "Pokemon" is so that Pokeman cant sue them for copyright, as "Pok" "e" and "mon" aren't copyrighted by themselves.

I've come across quite a few fake cards, once, at a fair, my friend and I bought a couple packs of Pokémon cards. They were actually quite convincing, but I noticed right away because all the cards I got in the pack were rares and reverses and foils.

But the font was nearly identical.

So be careful, everyone. Sometimes they're pretty hard to tell. Most fake cards have a glossy feeling to them, from what i've noticed.
