I saw this live with Tom Hewitt. Then later I heard Terrence Mann was taking over the role of Frank n' Furter and I never ran to a theater so fast in my life to get a ticket. I HAD to see him. He was absolutely fantastic and the audience went berserk. It was a night I'll never forget.

@eyeshine09 You've seen Tim Curry do it live on stage? Or are you comparing the movie to the stage production? Movies have the benefit of second-takes and a controlled environment. It takes a helluva talent to strut the lingerie and interact spontaneously every night with a live RH audience. Curry was a fan of this production and Terry's version of Frank.

@scipwraec Though to point out, the movie cast IS the original cast from when the Broadway production first premiered in London looong before the movie adaptation. Though that by meaning, I'm referring to the main roles of Magenta, Colombia, Riff Raff, and Frank N. Furter himself. Curry is indeed the original sweet tranny but no doubt can I see him definitely admiring Terrence Mann. ;)

@boynamedalexxx theres actually quite a few recordings with her as Janet but yea she did leave and Kristen Lee Kelly took over the role of Janet. Kristen also recorded Joans Jett part of Columbia on the cast recording and there are a few recordings out there with her playing the role of columbia seeing as she was Joan Jetts understudy originally.

@Donalx07 I've heard rumors they pissed off Joan's bff/producer with contract issues. Shame...she made one hell of a Columbia! :) I love the whole cast in this verison.

He's her best friend...and I don't see him bossing her around but anything is possible because I obv don't have insight to their relationship. Shame though, but it's still an awesome performance so at least we have that :)
