I thought if the genestealers get up close to the terminators, they rip them up pretty easily but in this vid, the terminator the uploader was controlling didn't seem to have any trouble in melee, what happened?

@andthis1 Depends a lot on the difficulty level, and a terminator fights a lot better when he's under your direct control. Also, the uploader was very lucky around 1:46, since if two stealers attack you at the exactly same time, you die automatically.

@andthis1 He is parrying the attacks which is easier when they attack from your right, but from the left takes timing

in real life those terminators would have been ripped to pieces because in this game they make those genestealers easy to kill.

I love melee combat against genestealers - once you get familar with the animation it's a matter of reaction so you only die if you slip up. There was this side mission where I would push a Lightning Claws Terminator (cos all the Storm Bolters / Power Glove guys are stuck behind) all the way down a narrow tunnel mashing genestealers along the way until it opens up enough for the Bolters to deploy.

During the mission (campain plunder i think, with the chaso space mariens) U must have 2 to 3 men together at all times cos the chaso space mariens are extreamally deadly and 1 on 1 they will win. They have strong armour and it can regenerate. So when u shoot u must try and kill straight away so they dont run away and wait for their armour to regenerate. They do have weak points...its not the back or front. It the sides. Quite offen u'll incounter them coming around the corner...................

Thanks for the info on the weak side of the Chaos Marines i'm hoping i dont have to fight them anymore to be honest :P

I've only started playing the game again since i was a kid so i have alot to learn i'll probably need alot of tactical help lol.

T o be honest i hated fighting them the first time i came up agaisnt them....but snice i got better i love to fight them now...it gives me a challenge

A really good tip in this game is that u must have at least 2 men together at all times! so that they can watch each others backs and also they can help out the other terminator fight off an alien up close.

In all the missions up to the last 1 i lost my full sqaud in the campain....that was the only time i lost my men....i just have to sacrifice my men in order to win cos there is a time limit of 7mins.....hard mission

to me it appears that u have lost a lot of men b4 this mission...cos as far as i remember when i did that mission my men had more expreince than what your men do...my men's expreince was about half full ( ithink). I can tell they are new men cos they all have low expreince.....and they are likey to die up close.

Just to let u know that in all missions (campain) u will never be by yourself if u keep your squad alive

I've played this game for about 15 years now, i have completed all the mission hundreds of times and gone through the whole campain without losing any men. Once u lose a terminator...thats the end of him and if he was your best man (most experience) u wont see him again. So its best to keep all your men alive for harder missions...cos trust me your gonna need experience men to get through them (easier)

Look (no offence) i understand the idea of u moving your men into places where the aliens come out....but u do it too soon and there is a good chance that your men are gonna get killed by moving them at such long distances straight away. U need to take your time there is no time limit so dont rush it...and its best for this mission to keep all your men together cos the aliens come out rapidly.

No offence taken, i appericate the advice of someone thats actually beat this game lol. Yeah my tactics suck i've only realised after doing the first few missions that your suppose to keep all your squad alive....explains why the Fallen grouds was so insane to beat. I might be screwed with that character save file as a result. lol

I remember this 1 moment i played the campain mission plunder. When i started that mission i put all terminators in a corner each and i stood next to an terminator, waithing for the 2 chaso mariens to come in (there is always 2 coming in at the start) If u have all your men together u WILL kill them like a peice of cake. The 1st 1 came in and we blew him away lol. But this next 1 that came in.........

...........I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT he got inside taking 2 to 3 full auto shots from each terminators and he manage to survive all full auto shots and getting close enough to killed me with a short burst. I was like............HOW THE FUCK IS THAT POSSIBLE...SURVIVING ALL THAT AND GETTING CLOSE ENOUGHT TO KILL ME....BULLSHIT

Hahah that is crazy! How the hell are they so tough they only look like Chaos Space marines not Termies, but they take such a beating to go down lol! If only you could fight them in hand to hand now that would be cool!

Well some of them are incredibley strong....and some are piss weak.
