Which version of the Goliath story do you prefer?

The one in 2 Samuel 21

in which Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim kills Goliath

or the one in 1 Samuel 17

in which David kills Goliath?

I see two contradictory accounts.

In 1 Samuel 17 David kills Goliath,

whose "spear shaft was like a weaver's rod,"

In 2 Samuel 21 Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim kills Goliath,

"who had a spear with a shaft like a weaver's rod."

actually the midrash and commentaries clarify saying that Elhanan's "Goliath" was actually his Brother, who possessed the staff of his late brother from Gath.
