  • Can you guys do a video on a 87 Monte Carlo ss

  • @boomack5000 We'll keep this in mind while doing any future repairs.

  • Is there a front UPPER ball joint video?

  • @angrykorean We currently do not have an upper ball joint video on this particular vehicle. We'll keep this in mind during any future repairs that we might do to this type of a vehicle. Thank you for visiting our auto repair channel.

  • can you guys make a video showing how to fix a ball joint on a 1995 chevy astro

  • @crazytazzy101 HI at the current time we do not. Some of the basics may be the same as shown in this video. There could be a few added steps on your Astro van and a difference in the way some of the components come apart though.

  • you guys literally had every video i needed to rebuild my truck. thank you so much, you have saved me more money than you know, i am a definite subscriber

  • im gana take my 97 jimmy to a alighmetn shop any ideas what i should change so i dont pay more than the 60 buck alighment price

  • @wtl1964 I would maybe fix any other front suspension issues so that you only need it to be aligned once. If everything else is all set then you should be fine.

  • @1aauto everything seem ok its just feels loose and dosent drive straight so you think im set from here or?

  • @wtl1964 if it feels loose I would check the tie rod ends and all of the other steering components to see if any of the bushings are worn out.

  • how do you know if they need to be replaced?

  • @screaminlemon Usually what happenes is that you may experiance a popping noise while you sharp turns with the vehicle. If you lift one of the front tires of the vehicle off of the ground and place a pry bar under it, if it easily moves up and down and you can hear it make noise. It would be a good idea to replace them.

  • Great Video! Is it any different replacing the front lower ball joint for a RWD Blazer?

  • @oompaboy85 It should be pretty close. If it's 2WD you wouldn't have the front axles to have to deal with.

  • I need to replace the lower ball joint on my gmc 1500 4wd sierra have you done a video on this and is the fact that it is a 4wd make it much more difficult?

    Thanks

  • @jbjbuild HI, at the current time we do not have a video that shows you how to do this repair on this vehicle.

  • I went to the alignment shop today to check how much it cost to change front lower ball joints on my 99 acura rl. ... 1700 BUCKS!!! I ebayed those joints ... it's like 44 BUCKS!!!! DOING IT MYSELF NOW!!!

  • @kosmosleha Glad we could help. We carry those ball joints on our website 1aauto.com for less than what you had paid; we offer FREE SHIPPING too on all of our parts.

  • Do you sell replacement upper ball joints for 2005 silverado's ? I've gotten mixed responces about whether or not it can be replaced.

  • Can you pls show us how to change the spark plug on Ford explorer xlt v8 1999...

    Regards

    Addy

  • Thanks man, good stuff,, I used to live in NH. in FL now

  • Did you ever make a video on the cv joint for this truck? I am getting ready to order both the lower and upper and I want to replace them at the same time. Thanks

  • @2011blueandgold Have not filmed that. Added it to the to do list but sorry that does not help you now.

  • Thanks - this was very helpful and saved me big bucks

  • There is alot easier way to do this, that is to just take the whole steering knuckle (spindle) right off the vehicle and leave the wheel bearing still bolted on. Can save alot of time and you dont run the risk of the wheel bearing being wrecked trying to get it to sperate from the spindle.

  • I'm replacing top and bottom ball joints is there any different procedure on removing the top ball joint?

  • @midrew1 They are different but the top is usually easier. Support the suspension seperate the ball joint from the steering knuckle then swap it out of the control arm. If it has never been replaced then you will need to grind the rivets off.

  • is there a video for the CV shaft?

  • @bodyart3344 Not yet but I have a 2000 Blazer coming in and I'll do it on that truck.
