Oh, this one....I wanted this car badly, but I had someone look at it for me, and they said it was junk, too much rust, etc. It was hard to beleive, with how good it looks!!! Still love it, and wish it were as good as it looks!
@37terraplane You mean to say that you saw this Riv at Country Classic Cars? I can't believe that this Riv was junk, rusted, etc. I looked it over pretty good when videotaping and it looked okay to me! Maybe you should look at it in person and YOU decide if it's worth it.
@55lincoln This does seem to be THE one...I had my heart set on it for sure...but the report was so scathing, it forced me to put it out of my mind. Hard to beleive with it looking so clean, but I'm gonna look back on the emails, etc. to see what he really said. I love this car, and WISH it was in my collection, it it is right! By the way, I LOVE '55 Lincolns!!! (Capris especially!)
@37terraplane Well, all I can say is that this Riv looked okay to me. But, it's always on the side of caution to really look at a car in person, front to back, top to bottom before you invest in a purchase. Have the engine started. Take it for test drive. See if everything works. A/C, power equip., including hidden body damage. And I'm pleased to know that you love 55 Lincolns. Thanks very much.
@55lincoln I know, it broke my heart when the guy who saw it for me said it was so bad...it was hard to beleive. Maybe I'll get out there one of these days to look at it. I found a decent black one back here, but that green is where it's at! Once lost a pink and white 55 Capri hardtop that was sold right from under me, and ever since have wanted either one of those, or a 55 Capri convertible!! Gorgeous cars!
@37terraplane Yes, get there and see if this is your dream car. This green paint was very popular with mid-70's GM cars. I had a 71 Nova in this color. I would absolutely like to get my dream car which is a 55 Lincoln, hardtop or convertible, Coral and white or turquoise. Again, find out about this Riv, it may be in better shape than you were le to believe. Thanks much.
@Butchcub75 I videotaped some other Cougar XR7 thats in my channel. I don't think I taped the powder blue you like. Sorry. But I hope you enjoyed this Riviera.
@75RivGS Yes! It was taped within the barns at CCC in Staunton. I always liked Rivs and this generation of Rivs to me are just beautiful. I greatly admire the 70's Rivs and your a lucky guy to have a 75. And, thank you for viewing and commenting.
I managed to visit CCC 3 times the last 2 years (as a European; last time while driving the RTE 66 in my 68 Wildcat)... a great place to wander around for a couple of hours. Another great place to visit in that area was FastLane in St Charles... but you know all about that place so to see.
@75RivGS I didn't realize that you were from Europe. Glad U could tour ol Route 66 and visit CCC 3 X plus FastLane which is very close to where I live in St. Charles. It is a lot of fun to tour these two places. Thanks very much for commenting.
@Simon5005 I believe this car is still for sale. I always liked Rivs and I remember this distinct color very well. Thanks so much for viewing and commenting.
Yeah! that has always been my absolute dream car until someone bought it before I could. haven't found another '75/'76 Riviera yet. amazing ride! congratiolations to everyone who owns one of these!
@ratc1440 Es tut mir leid du verpasst bekommen Sie Ihr Traumauto. Hoffentlich eines Tages können Sie ein Riviera davon bekommen. Vielen Dank für das Betrachten und viel Glück.
@historybuffish This was a popular GM color back then and this Riv does look brand new. If I could afford it, I would buy most of the cars I tape I like them so much.

isn't this the 76 that was for sale at CCC in Staunton, IL??
Got a 75 Riv (a GS) and I really love to drive that car, compared with my other Buicks the 75 is the smoothest ride.
Pity it is the most neglected Riviera generation (74-76)
Thanks for sharing

@ThomasLikesToParty Good luck in selling. Also try your local Craigslist and place a free ad to sell your Riv.
