@WorldwideNobody Thats true, but baring in mind that petrol prices have more than tripled since 1991, and insurance has gone up just as much if not more, as has road tax. The car's themselves maybe better value today spec for spec, but you do infact pay significantly more to own one because of the running costs of today.
the details for this car Date of Liability 01 12 2007 Date of First Registration 29 08 1991 Year of Manufacture 1991 Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1124CC CO2 Emissions Not Available Fuel Type Petrol Export Marker Not Applicable Vehicle Status Unlicensed Vehicle Colour RED Vehicle Type Approval
This vid is brilliant. Look at all the cars in the background. It's like going back in time. This is much better than some reviews which get filmed in the middle of nowhere - this gives an age to the car and you can see the typical kind of thing most people were driving and so know what was expected.
50p/litre! Oh those were the days.

I've just bought an old 1994 106....in top nick, red, no rust, FSH, two years TÜV (German equivalant of MOT) for 850 Euros and it's a dream.

it was quite dear wasn't it, I mean £7650 for a 1.1 hatchback back in 1990 would work out about £11500 in today's money.
you could buy a Renaultsport Twingo Cup 133 for around that today.
