  • Question- if man is the pinicle of the theory of evolution

Why do animals and some tree's live longer than we do? Perhaps the pinicle of the theory of evolution is not man but the yew tree, one that has lived for 5,000 years.

  • @leoapp1223

Hippopotami can live up to 60 years.

  • look at carp's face,hahahaha

  • "CROW" can be above 1000 years old

  • After reading lots of factoids and articles, the Swan had never been proven to live longer than 42, and that surprised scientists quite a lot really..... Maybe in very very rare cases horses live into their 40's but late fourtys is unheard of..... Get your facts straight!

  • Kool but with polution the whales live for an estimated 90 years

  • What about the Sturgeon?

  • @walkabout16

@leoapp1223 G'day... Um, sorry, but this is wrong. In 1999 a New Scientist article told of a Bowhead Whale harpooned in 1995 that had a STONE Harpoon- Point in it. It had got away from an Indian on the Canadian West-Coast, before Iron Broadheads as Trade-Goods appeared. So, they estimated it was 230 yrs old when killed. The Bowhead eats Krill & Plankton, lives to 600, and doesn't breed till 120. Ciao !

  • Are they omnivores or vegetarian?

  • lol theres no way a toad can be 36 years old hahaha

  • Muted.

  • 'Ming' - 405 years old

  • I pray for the day when people stop using crap music like this in their vids.

  • I WANNA LIVE FOREVER :(

  • How could you miss Mr Freshy?!?!?!

  • @DaddyOD13 hahahaha

  • Where's the tripod fish?

  • I had a Box Turtle when I was a kid, and it ran (crawled) away.

It could still be out there somewhere.

  • not quite 50 but still XD

  • i have a 41 yr old horse...

  • What about the Nile crocodile which has been reported to live well into their second century, or the sperm whale which is speculated\ commonly believed to live longer that 200 years baring environmental hazards. And there are elephants that have lived beyond their first century. Is this video based on average lifespan, or longest reported? And if on average, under what context, natural death due to age, or including death due to environmental hazard?

  • fake

  • en . wikipedia . org/wiki/List_of_long-living_organisms

  • The swan should be replaced by humans, we can exceed 100 years of age.

  • @maksedgamer43 Thats the average, average lifespan for humans is 75 years.

  • how about humans ???

    we are animals to :p

  • There was a grizzly bear in a zoo in Kansas that lived to be 56. I know you are probably doing age in the wild, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

  • LONGEST LIVING HUMANS are mother-in-laws!

    (well thats how it feels!)

  • My cockatoo is nearly a 100 years old now. I got it when he was like, 70... ahhahah

  • Female Pike's - 35 years old.

  • When did that clam die? or is that its life span?

  • im 1501 years old i am an alien my name is roger im in a tv show called american dad

  • 8.

  • LULZ Elephant with a lifespan of 69 years at 2:12! I think he made that up!

  • @xXHexinistXx IK but I just think it's very funny!

  • The bible said that those old (can't recall names) people lived like over 900 years, so humans have the longest life span...

  • @Mikuli7 Methuselah, Enoch, Abraham, Noah, just to name a few

  • what about humans?

  • Can this be true, I heard that an immortal jellyfish can have an infinite life span, so can this animal be #1?

  • is this data on wild animals?

  • At one of alltime10s vids, its:

    3. Ocean Quahog: 405 yrs

    2. Antarctic Sponge: 1550 yrs

    1: Immortal Jellyfish: ∞ yrs

(This is longest recorded, not average)

  • How did we find out how long these animals can live? Do scientists just observe them from birth until death and see how long it takes? And is it in captivity or in the wild because studies show lots of animals die faster in captivity.

These videos are awesome, by the way.

  • I know of a parrot that outlived 1 owner that had it since young(the owner) the parrot was unknown age..and its still okey...in the new family.. its now over tracket 100year... so they not realy sure how old the ara parrot can be yet...

  • I had no idea a fish can live that long (205 years) beyond the lifespan of humans and I didn't know a clam can live for four centuries. I like your videos, they're fascinating.

  • yay!!!i wanna be a clam and sit there and do nothin!!!

  • you forgot chuck norris

    he can live for

    100 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 000 year's

  • the horse can live till 40 max...

  • i thought human was an animal

  • that is incorrect the longest living animal ever is the imortal jellyfish or infinite jellyfish. this jelllyfish has the ability to retrn to its baby form after its lived its life and repeat it withot dieing

  • @jc9994

many sea animals like sea corals, sea sponges, sea anemones, jellyfish, etc are technically immortal cos they have a special ability to regenerate themselves so they may become young again. so they don not age unlike all animals showed here which have limited lifespan.and the only way they can die if they are killed by predators, included humans or killed because of disease/polluted environment. i think in Biology most of us have studied about this phenomenon.

  • I see you like the band "Seether"!

  • actually theres a jelly fish that can live forever

  • @daasianboi

many sea aniamals like sea corals, sea sponges, sea anemones, jellyfish, etc are technically immortal cos they have a special ability to regenerate themselves so they may become young again. so they don not age unlike all animals showed here which have limited lifespan.and the only way they can die if they are killed by predators, included humans or killed because of disease/polluted environment. i think in Biology most of us have studied about this phenomenon.

  • parrot 80 years? you kidding me lol , it almost have human lifespan

  • @chang0901 yeah thas actualy frekin true they live as mush as humans, he would make a great pet, u can even die before he does.. lol ;D

  • GIANT FAIL

  • omg after the parrot i started to get suprises... swan 102 years????

  • leoapp1223 why did you not add antarctic sponge and immortal jellyfish? immortal jellyfish lives for infinite years! antarctic sponge lives for 1,550 years.

  • leoapp1223 why did you not add antarctic sponge and immortal jellyfish?

  • No wonder my grampa still has his parrot. Thanks for letting me know that parrots live 80 years :)

  • As soon as you hit Parrot, you start getting into the mind-blowing stuff. I knew that parrots could live 80 years because of natural resistance to an aging gene, but the others, i went WTF on.

  • Oh and for my last comment. For those of you who do not know what Cryptozoology is, or what a cryptozoologist is, google is your friend. XD please look it up. most may sound mythical, but thats what we do, prove of animals existance, or if its hoax or myth.

  • Hey. a alligator snapping turtle should have been on here. a while back, scientist and researchers found a alligator snapping turtle believed to be at least 450 years old, they found musket balls lodged in its body. if you do not believe me look it up. i do not know if your going by the animals average life span, or the highest, but if the highest, i could argue that the alligator snapping turtle deserves 1st. Im a cryptozoologist.... and i see a lot of crazy things, but i believe it's #1

  • The Pike (female only) can be 35 years old.

  • Why did you put Obama at number 17?

  • what about the immortal jellyfish?

  • Clam could get 50 lvl85's by now :D

  • @Cutelilfawn Clam could max out ALL the characters in all mmorpgs, and live to see the future.

  • yeah, I call bull on the turkey vulture, the oldest one ever and is still alive is 34 years, it's the griffon vulture that has reached 118, two different species that are from two different ends of the globe.

  • That clams name was meh ling it was found near japan its rcorded as. The longest living thing

  • hey how come when at the beggining you said animals that live longer than 100 years but half the video was about animals that were under like the lion/ bison etc...

  • Hey I am 5000 years old I am an alien but since you mentioned animals and humans you should have mentioned me it is not fair i am coming tommorow to abduct you so you can learn a lesson you insulted me :(

*and stop using this damn song Wind up on your vids.

  • what about humans??

  • official record with verified birth certification is 122 years by Jeanne Calment (21 February 1875 - 4 August 1997)

  • @leoapp1223 ic.. thx

  • Hey leoapp1223, my Yellow headed amazon (parrot) died at 45 years old

I dont know why but the last 2 weeks for her she barely has eat and drink

She also didn't do anything anymore.

It was like she was waiting to die

she was real healthy and didn't look old cause before the 2 weeks she was happy as always.

Do you know what might have happend

I would really appreciate it thank you

  • sorry, can't answer your questions, I'm a doctor, I'm not a veterinarian

    maybe natural aging process?

  • @leoapp1223 hey average of age of noah is 500

  • ha box turtle 123

  • A swan does not live for 100 years....

  • lol elephant 69 years.. kewl

  • the clam looks like pussy

  • i wish i was a clam ROFL! :P

  • Female orcas can live to be 80+ in the wild.

  • Bullshit, go to africa mate and tell me if you can find a lion more than 15 years old

  • you forgot about Asiatic lions. they are endangered. most of them are kept in captivity. that's why their life span is higher than african lions. african lions often die being killed by other lions, defending their territory.

  • @leoapp1223 I'm a fucking South African game ranger, in the wild they live up to 12 years max and in captivity up to 20 you're 10 years off

  • @leoapp1223 who gives a shit about animals in captivity

  • @ali86000 owned

  • @elliotb92 hey my name is Elliot too, no come on lets talk about wild animals not one's in zoo's i'm a trained game ranger i know what i'm on about

  • get this at 2:01 should've put owligator:D thumbs up if you agree

  • antaractic sponge max life was 1.5k years........

    immortal jellyfish, INFINITE LIFE

  • many sea aniamals like sea corals, sea sponges, sea anemones, jellyfish, etc are technically immortal cos they have a special ability to regenerate themselves so they may become young again. so they don not age unlike all animals showed here which have limited lifespan.and the only way they can die if they are killed by predators, included humans or killed because of disease/polluted environment.

  • @leoapp1223 ok thanks but what about antaractic sponge? it died by itself not of disease or being killed

  • I don't know if you did averages or max life spans or mixed the stats, because the majority of these stats are wrong.

  • actually it's hard to find accurate lifespan cos there are many different sources ;-/. some animals have top lifespans measured (from captivity/zoo), but the others only have average lifespans measured, so i mixed it.

  • That makes more sense, but it makes your numbers look very wrong. Like with the horse age. I work with horses and its a freak instance if they live to be 50 years old. Most horse live around 35 years or less usually. I saw someone else post that race horses usually only live around 25, which is true.

  • @leoapp1223

Okay well that makes more sense. It makes your numbers look sketchy. I work with horses and it's a freak instance if they live to be that old. They generally live somewhere under 35 years. I saw someone comment and say that race horses live to be around 25, which is true.

  • from some horse websites: horse average lifespan is 35 years (racing horse is shorter, 25 years), the new record for oldest living horse (official measurement) was named Old Billy, 62 , an anomaly. he died already. Other record is a horse named Sugar Puff, 57.Some horses can reach maximum age for about 50 years. (more than 50 is extremely rare).to determine the life expectancy of a horse is by examining their teeth.by the way i haven't updated this video, new record can be easier to find.

  • a bowhead whale can live longer than 200 years and the oldest tortoise was about 255 years old when it died in 2005 i think (born in 1750 and was the size of a bathtub.)

  • lol google ming the clam(oldest 405 yr old i think) clams do look boring

  • lol how the fuck does a swan live 102 years!!! no way

  • did you put the avaerage life span of the animals or the longest recorded lifespan, because i've eard of a tortoise that lived to be 188 years old. you should have included the oldest recorded lifespan of each animal.

  • the queen ant can live for 30 years tied with #20

  • a lion can live 15 years

  • man this video is obviously made by a waterhead a fuckin horse does not live fifty years

  • from some horse websites: horse average lifespan is 35 years (racing horse is shorter, 25 years), the new record for oldest living horse (official measurement) was named Old Billy, 62 , an anomaly. he died already. • Humans have been recorded to live 150 years in recent times; if you go back to biblical times though we would have the best lifespan. This is more of a "Modern" lifespan of animals that are officailly documented.

  • 400 yaers crap

  • @CaptianGoober12 actually, clams,at least one species, can live for 400 years. i read somewhere about a species of clam that can live for several hundred years, which is good because it only grows about 1/100th of an inch every year, making it the slowest growing animal in the world.

  • @CaptianGoober12 the giant clam

  • How could a turkey buzzard live to 118 years when their diet consist of rotting flesh...

  • To every1 who thinks we are not animals... There are 5 kingdoms, we are part of the animal kingdom. We are mammals, descended from an ape like ancestor eg. homo erectus and just because we wear clothes or use technology does not mean we are not animals. Humans are not there own special organism we are animal.

  • dude the owl, toad, parrot, goose & lizzard.

    sickkkk

    good music choise ;)

  • what about the crow?

  • ahahaha the rough eye rockfish's face is absolutely hilarious

  • a species of jellyfish is biologically immortal as a fully grown adult jellyfish can reduce itself to polyp or whatever.a hydra(genus) is also immortal

  • yes, jellyfish, hydra, sea coral, sea sponges are immortal cos they have special ways to regenerate

  • @leoapp1223 the hydra(genus) is biologically immortal because it doesnt age phisichally or something

  • @leoapp1223 hey theres a whale called Balaena mysticetus that live 200 years

  • @leoapp1223 Technically immortal right? Most Jellies and such are probably killed or eaten before they can live to be to old.

  • many sea aniamals like sea corals, sea sponges, sea anemones, jellyfish, etc are technically immortal cos they have a special ability to regenerate themselves so they may become young again. so they don not age unlike all animals showed here which have limited lifespan.and the only way they can die if they are killed by predators, included humans or killed because of disease/polluted environment. i think in Biology most of us have studied about this phenomenon.

  • How about lobsters?I thought they can live more then 70 years.

  • @dmy2157

Yes, I heard that was true as well.

  • @dmy2157 Yes but lobster will have a shorter life span on average cause they are delicious and will most likely be eaten by pirates.

  • Is there such thing as a giant tortoise? THought those were ANCIENT

  • of course giant tortoises exist, but they live in certain islands, like Galapagos Islands (near Chile), Seychelles Islands (near Madagascar), etc.

  • lol

  • ur vids r reallty ausum ..:)

  • The female pike can live over 30 yrs.

    dont belive me?Check it out

  • omg 400 years!

  • 1º Clam has a boring life.

  • @ricardinhotuga 400 years of sitting there, doing nothing then opening its mouth. I cant believe it too .

  • Owl 2:04 is like Oh Really?!

  • @thebronzeeagle i highly doubt they found a jellyfish that is 2 billion years old

  • @TheIphone4thewin Some sea creatures have the ability to revert their aging processes just to let you know pal

  • crocos can actually live up to 100 years

  • lol they found jellyfish that have been alive 2.7 billion years so this video is off

  • many sea aniamals like sea corals, sea sponges, sea anemones, jellyfish, etc are immortal and they have special ability to regenerate unlike animala showed here which have limited lifespan.

  • @leoapp1223 I'm already scared shitless by jellyfish, and now you tell me they're fucking IMMORTAL too!? FML.

  • @Conceptepic

many sea animals like sea corals, sea sponges, sea anemones, jellyfish, etc are technically immortal cos they have a special ability to regenerate themselves so they may become young again. so they do not age unlike all animals showed here which have limited lifespan.and the only way they can die if they are killed by predators, included humans or killed because of disease/polluted environment.

  • dogs and wolfes deserve to live longe

Dogs are mans best friend and to be honest i think we have alot to learn from them

    they are just the best

  • so is this video based on the average age of the animals u listed?

  • most are not average lifespan but top recorded lifespan from zoos or captivity. but for few animals here, i couldn't find top recorded lifespan, only average lifespan.

  • how long does a raven live?

  • The funny thing is, my bird could have made it into this video, LOL.

  • Yes we are humans but we are considered animals by the fact that we are primates like monkeys and apes. we are related to monkeys and apes too.

  • Im not quite sure but it think there was this aninmal (might of been a bacteria) that doesn't die unless it was killed. I think i read this somewhere. Not sure though.

  • im still watching your videos totally... obssessed i know who i am gunna sybscribe to :D

  • oh, ok, thx for watching my vids =)

  • hi guys i am 11000000344 yeas old

  • @leoapp1223 .oh sorry.

  • leoapp,ur a retard and must be from china cuz a deacade is 10 years.

  • what? i replied to someone who said a decade is more than 20 years, i definitely said that a decade = 10 years. by the way I'm not from China, but Indonesia

  • Can't the water bear live decades?

  • yes, but not over 20 years.

  • @leoapp1223 but a decade is more than 20 years :x

  • 1 decade = 10 years

we often hear 'the decade 70s, 80s, 90s', so 10 years

maybe you talked about century = 100 years

  • @leoapp1223 oh o: I got confused xD

  • Hey you forgot about God

  • u forgot the immortal jellyfish and the antartic sponge

  • I didn't include sea creatures like jellyfish, sea spongs, sea corals, or anemones cos they have special ability to regenerate, they don't age like all animals on this video

  • @leoapp1223 how long does the immortal jellyfish live ? lol

  • some animal experts claimed more than 1000 years. for sea sponges even 10.000 years ;O. but because they don't age, and they can regenerate so it's harder to measure their real age.

  • The swan shouldn't be number 8 on the list, that data refers to the longest lifespan ever recorded while many of the other animals are the average. The average for captive swans is 50 years and 7 or 8 years in the wild.

  • Awesome but u forgot those immortal jellyfish

  • i didn't include sea creatures like jellyfish, sea spongs, sea corals, or anemones cos they have special ability to regenerate, they don't age like all animals on this video

  • @NeiftySkits yea u forgot that and the sponge

  • son goku... he can live for 999999999999 years

  • WE ARE HUMANS MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD. NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY WERE NOT ANIMALS, ALTHOUGH WE ARE WORSE THEN ANIMALS, WE KILL OUR CHILDREN, WE KILL FOR MONEY AND GREED, BUT WE ARE STILL HUMANS NO MATTER WHAT.
