@wwejheaton Beats me. It seems like just about the only horror films they ever show on AMC anymore are Halloween 4 & 5 and Puppet Master. They need to start showing some of the real classics again like The Exorcist, The Shining, An American Werewolf in London, Poltergeist, Creepshow, Hellraiser etc. The Frighteners is the title of the film where the grim reaper comes through the door.

Always look forward to AMC's Halloween marathon. I just wish they had a bit more variety (it always seems to be the same dozen or so movies) and ditch the more recent crap like "Pinata: Survival Island" and "13 Ghosts" and stick to the classics from the 80s and earlier.

I did the same exact thing! Id just leave it on AMC all day, let it TVO and there were hardly any disapointment. "Variety" is what they had those past 2 years (06,07) and it was great cinema. I left a msg or a "Comment/concern" on AMC's homepage, and it asked the viewers "What you thought of this years "Fearfeat", though they only post the ones they want, im pretty sure alot people insisted to bring back "Monsterfest" and live up to the AMC's slogan... "Classic".

This was the best year (2007) id say, regarding Amc's Monsterfest (now Fearfest) .. It keeps getting worse and worse? Im sure the viewing numbers have gone down since "07" and these movies are just... Idk what to say? Theyre just not good. I wouldnt mind if they went back to that 07 or earlier slates and just show them? would be nice. Happy halloween!

@andysox21 I would say 02 was good also that was the first year that they switched over to more of the 80's slasher flicks. 05 wasn't bad either. I did not get a chance to see Fearfest 10 but I heard that is was good. I am looking forward to this years fearfest.

YES, I totally agree. I don't have anything against Night of the living dead, but do they have to replay it all Halloween night? And what was up with 13 Ghosts this year? Everytime I turned to AMC, that movie was on! I miss "MonsterFest", now "FearFest" I think 2006 and 2007 had some of the best movies; I remember leaving the channel on AMC just to watch them.

Pinata Island is back again along with Halloween 4 and 5.. They do got some better decent movies than from last year but by far.. Nothing like it was before.. 2007 was more than likely the last year that had good movies that started before the 24th... but like last year and this one... A yawn.. Dude, that is amazing that you said that. That was my senior year of high school, too and thought that it was an amazing year for AMC's Monsterfest. They need to learn a thing or two and do it again. Monsterfest is one of my favorite parts of Halloween, and they need to do it right.
