  • very sadistic people made this boss, im sure they kick puppies too

  • Seriously though, Hibachi is typically a "we hope you have enough lives to bombspam him to death" boss.

  • @sevaryn111 Yet Hibachi has an explosive proof shield...

  • Hibachi used Swarm!

  • @sevaryn111 Super effective is an understatement...

  • that last patern is just unbelievable

  • That's everyday life in Danmaku world.

  • hibachi means in real a kind of a BBQ

  • @TotalMadnesification Yup...but here's the problem with this Hibachi:

The correct way to say it would be "hihachi" or something along the lines of that. "Hachi" is bee, while I believe fire is the prefix "hi" just before that. They swapped it out for the "Hibachi" everyone knows today.

    Just a little trivia.

  • @TheMcK777 With Japanese I believe certain words, when combined, the second word's first letter will become its "ten" form. So "ha" becomes "ba", which why we call it Hibachi. Knowing Japan and their puns though, they probably would say this is a barbeque boss. XD

  • @MarurunLEB No kidding...I thought it was actually formally 'Romanized' as Hibachi instead of slang...oh, well. You probably know more about Japanese than I do.

  • Fans: WTF this shit is impossible

Cave: nuh-uh we made it so there's always a spot to go where you wont get killed

Fans: WHAT HUMAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO DO THIS!?

  • who the fuck is supposed to play this

  • @lethaljellybean Japanese people. Simple.

  • Tutorial Stage Complete.

  • GAAAAAH!!!! IT'S THE BIG BROTHER OF MARIO PAINT'S KING WATINGA!!!!!

GET IT AWAY BEFORE IT STINGS MY HAND!!!

  • programmable pad

  • Jikes. How'd he not get hit half the time? How large is this hitbox anyway?

  • @OmegaWeaponX25

Well, I would guess it would be something around 4x4. When you play a lot, you will know where the hitbox is and how big it is.

But this game is still very hellish. You need to be a STG-god ( ISO, SWY etc. ) to clear whole game without use of continues.

  • @Sasupoika2

This is of course the TLB. Does this game use the same 2nd loop concept DDP does?

  • @OmegaWeaponX25

Yes, no-continue the first loop, then fill some requirements ( no score-requirements this time ). The 2nd loop is horrifying though. Before you enter the second loop, all your lives are taken away. You will get one life after you complete a stage.

  • @Sasupoika2

    I see.

  • @Sasupoika2 I cant even follow the bullets in habachi's last form, only way ild beat this is if i watched a replay and memorised the player ship positions pixel by pixel plus a whole lot of luck.

I bet with patice my eyes would beable to track the bullets better but damn are they fast...

DOJ is too hard for me, im more at home with DDP which i can 1cc the 1st loop but someday im gonna go for the 2-ALL, first ild need to get myself an arcade stick though (failing that a saturn usb pad)

  • @TrevHead10 Was DoDonPachi 1 released in america or was it just region free?

  • @AManofWitMk2 I think the aracde version was released to the us or world by altus, the ps1 and saturn ports are japan only

  • His hitbox must be like 1 pixel in size. O.o

  • That is beautiful playing. Very minimalist, if there is such a thing.

  • Chuck Norris no missed Hibachi with 5 hypers; using one hand on the controller and the other fingering Lela Star to climax.

  • cut the bullshit.... this is ABSOLUTELLY NO FEAR GAMEPLAY in any way

even the best players loose at some point with this kind of boss

It's ridiculous to think this guy is like SUPER HUMAN lol

  • I have this game on my emulator but it doesnt have this as the fianal boss...can any1 help?

  • You have to beat the first loop, then play through the 2nd loop, no continues and other requirements have to be met to actually reach the 2nd loop.

  • 神www

  • And the final form of the boss is... A FRIGGIN HEAD?! ROFLOLMAO... xD

  • A bee. A very, very angry bee.

  • @Sasupoika2 Angry Leader Bee is the translation of DoDonPachi ;)

  • It's interesting to see how many gaps there actually are in the patterns.

  • It's a programmed controller, so says the warning at the beginning of the movie.

  • just to let you know... this is a tool-assisted run.

it does in no way represent any skill.

it's purpose is to show the patterns.

    that's all.

  • This is probably one of the best runs I've ever seen in a shmup.

  • @PastRepeat I always prefer this one.On about 4:50 is the last boss but try watching the whole thing. That guy is nuts.

    watch?v=krJrBD8sMNE

  • @PastRepeat Wrong one sorry.This is the one -_-"

    watch?v=uG9COkH6QYs&feature=related

  • @PastRepeat The Japanese text at the beginning specifically states a preprogrammed controller is used. It's NOT a skill run, people.

  • I want to know how can you learn to see where its safe

  • when you actually play the game, you have to move much more, you can't just stick to the back. He's got some trick up his sleeve. The super replay on the game DVD is much more exciting.

  • 開始早々、「ばっちゃん、ばっちゃん!」って言ってるあたりが笑える

    いや大方「Watch out」なんだろうが

  • why?????

    not human... immortal gamer!

  • omg so sick amazing playing

  • This game will always pwn me.. :-O

  • smooth and easy...

  • I do love the sections where you can just stand in one spot for a good 5-10 seconds and fire away.

  • Oh my god !! This player didn't use any cheat or invulnerability codes ? He is a real " god. "

  • its just a matter of training the patterns

  • even though it training patterns,it impossible to dodge it

that why this game i heard the rumors that only 5 people will be able to achieve this

  • He used a programmable controller.

  • W...W..W...What is that??? O_O That is amazing!

  • 2DIZM!!!!

  • 2:33 - it's crazy

  • That's crazy

  • spoilers you guys: the japanese in the beginning of the video is telling us that this is being done on a programmable stick.

  • Ya thought it was something like that.

  • What's with Hibachi's final form(s)?

    Ive seen two different kinds.

  • some crazy eye hand coordination

  • oops, i was looking for the no. 1 chicago hibachi team

  • This is a tool-assisted run, and I doubt "stonelike" did this run, although I do not know exactly who did the run. it's still kind of sad that people are crediting the wrong player

  • Compared to other videos I've watched of the last boss, this guy barely moves to dodge the bullets. Others move like crazy near the end. Good job XD

  • I wonder how many times he watched the replays looking for sweet spots before this...

  • Good job on that. Most people would try and pass that real time playing with a cheat of some kind. That was so cool I was laughing around 2:10...I'd love to see you do that on other games of this genre!!

  • This video is beautiful, down with Hibachi. :)

  • yep.. theres only one spot that the bullets can hit you and you would die from.. Its usually in the center of the ship so that way you can just graze everything.. Thats how these game are so dam addicting

  • Dear. God. In. Heaven.

  • The hint is that there is a very small hitbox for your fighter (Most Danmaku or Manic Shooters stress on that)

  • This is such bull, there's many times that bullets pass right through him.

  • wow, just wow..

i think that would be pretty much impossible without the program...

i think my mind just died..

  • The Engrish text reads below the "WARNING!" sign: "THIS IS NOT SIMILATION. GET READY TO DESTOROY THE ENEMY. TARGET FOR THE WEAK POINTS OF F**KIN' MACHINE. DO YOUR BEST YOU HAVE EVER DONE."

I thought I'd clear that up for you.

  • It's not a human, but a programmable arcade stick.
