  • I love my Line 6 Vetta!

  • @666CUNTHOLE

Yeah I think he did! Which pleases me because I also have an ENGL amp... Now to try and find how to get his sound!

  • Line 6 Vettas are just awesome amps

  • The tone never really changed... then showing a "backwards delay" by playing random shredding. When did GNR ever need that? Wasn't rock about feel and tone? Heck Buckethead played good rock with Guns and didn't go out playing with sound and trying to be what seems to be a band of one man shows... Talent, yeah, but it seems wasted to me.

  • @PlayaGuitar if you went to see GnR live, you'd see that he's actually a great guitar player..who technically speaking is wasted on GnR styled music but..he fits that band perfectly. he knows exactly when to stay close to the original parts and when to give his own style to the mix. GnR in its original would have had no use for him, but todays GnR are quite a different band and if you listened to CD you'd know that the guitar works stepped up quite a bit. thus theres a reason for him after all!

  • 1:43 LOL he so lovely

  • My Jack Russell Terrier is the BEST GODAMN GUIITARIST EVER!!!!!!!!!!

He could play ERUPTION when he was only 3 months old mother fuckers!

  • Lol @ 0:30

  • did his parents name him that at Birth?.the Doctor said..."Mam, your the proud mother of a baby boy.." what are you going to name him?." ..ah Doc,..its either Archibald Percival Clubfoot lll or , heck after that 36 labor breach baby..he's a freekin Bumblefoot

  • Lol his name is Ron Thal

  • Bumblefoot is the disease my guinea pig died from.

  • they r both incredible guitar players. id say they have equal talent as far as playing goes but bumblefoots songs tend to have a tune instead of crazy solos and fucked up noises.

  • You know looking at this guys techniques and listening to his playing it makes me wonder does Slash even bother furthering his abilities? or did the guy just stop ? I am now feeling that Slash is just hype these days.

  • Slash isn't a shredder. He's more of an in the pocket guy who also writes great tunes, and he has great tone. I like shredders like Ron Thal, but the songs that Slash played like Sweet Child and Paradise City are flat out classics. The new album that Axle put out pales in comparison in every way.

  • Ron Thal isn't just a shredder. He can shred but he can do lots of different stuff, and trust me he knows how to hold back, and doesn't overplay mellow songs for instance

  • Exactly

  • rons not a shredder or he hates being labeled as one bc he CAN sing very well and play slow/beautiful songs

  • @ralphspimp No.

  • Buckethead could whipe his ass with you

  • Buckethead better than bumblefoot? Thats so dumb sounding its funny!

  • they're both great man haha, chilll. who care's who's better, they can both hold their own quite well I think.

  • amen, brother

  • it annoys me so much that he's known as "bumblefoot of guns n roses"

  • yeah me too..

  • thats because thats all he is known for, wot do u know him as ?

  • bumblefoot of bumblefoot.....

    you know guitars suck right?

  • I so f**ing agree. he is so much better in his solo records, which rock.

  • he makes slash seems even cooler.

  • ...and Slash's playing even weaker...

  • He used this amp and the Line 6 valve on one of his latest album. But yes, now he use Engl amp. ;-).

But Line 6 rock! (Especially the valve one!)

  • BTW, Bumblefoot is now endorsed by ENGL amps ( killer amps really ). He probably won't use the Vetta 2 on stage anymore ( killer amp too ).

  • Bumblefoot and buckethead played together on stage on some tours with GnR

  • Nope they didn't...Buckethead left in 2004. Bumblefoot joined in 2006. They do know each other though. Bumblefoot was supposed to do vocals on a Buckethead album ( yeah..vocals ) but it unfortunately didn't happen. At least they shared an album ^^

  • I'm sorry, but that's not true at all. I've been a fan of both players since the mid 90's, but there was never any mention of Ron doing vocals on a Buckethead CD. Ron did say that he would like to play and sing with Bhead, during one of his shows, but not on an album. If there ever would be a collaboration it would be a shame if Ron would only sing, since he's the better (more rounded technically) guitar player of the two.

  • This comment is a bit old, but what the hell.

When did Bumblefoot say that he wanted to do something together with Buckethead?

a duo of Bumblefoot and Buckethead is something I always wanted to see.

  • I think it was during the None Radio interview or something. Anyway, it was a long ass Bbf interview from like 2005 and he said that Buckethead contacted him a few years before because he wanted him to SING on one of his albums. Ron wanted to do it but Bucket never contacted him back.

  • Wrong. Ron's not a master BH is. That's all that needs to be said.

  • So it never occurred to you that maybe they both can be masters?

  • 2:56 lol

  • i have a line 6 hd 147, killer amp!

  • Check your booty meat!

    I envy you...

  • but its robin finck who leads on the "better" song by GN'R, so we still waits what ron can do on guns next ...

  • Brian Patrick Carroll

    to be precise...

  • This was a reply to another comment.

So now I get thumbs down? stupid youtube.

  • 0:30

    "exuse me?!"

haha! good stuff, and good guitar sound! awesome guitarist.

  • yeah most tone freaks like eric johnson, srv, joe satriani, always use a near no effects amp that produces a extremely clean tone, then they use pedals because the tone is much better even if it is a more complex or a simple set up, the line six kinda sucks. but its not like ron is made o money guess he gots to make due, (btw the tone on normal and abnormal is much better.)

  • errr, afaik both normal and abnormal are made with this

  • Bumblefoot is a really good guitar player.

I just wish his nickname wasnt something retarded like "bumblefoot"

  • Amazing gear

  • LOL @ "yizzem" - 3:14

  • haha! "'Scuse Me!"

  • what pedal do i need for 0:40?

  • A wah.

  • Is this buckethead you think?!!!

Same kind of build and hands

  • they have two very different styles. You don't listen to enough buckethead if you think him and Bumblefoot are one in the same.

  • @thejohnofsteel Slash is the 3rd best guitar player to ever play for guns n roses lol

  • what are you, high? Buckethead and Bumblefoot sound nothing alike, and also they couldn't have different builds. Buckethead is built more like Paul Gilbert is but a lot taller.

  • actually theyre about the same height. Bucketheads real name is brian carroll

  • Ron Thal isn't 6' 7"

  • also, there is no mystery as to who Buckethead really is.

  • who is he?

  • a guy named brian carroll. He is not paul gilbert, he was taught by paul but he is not him

  • did you know that both ron thal and bucket were at one point the guitarist for guns and roses it would be mighty hard for buckethead to be two people playing to parts at the same time. (i guess he could do it though sinces he like a robot.)

  • Where do you get your information? Ron Thal and Buckethead were never in Guns n Roses at the same time. Buckethead left in 2004 and Thal joined in 2006.

  • Which is too bad because I'd kill to see Ron Thal share a stage with Buckethead.

  • That would be too much insanity... The stage would collapse xDDD

  • Does he use a Vetta I or II? I'm pretty sure it's a I....

  • Line 6 Vetta 2

  • talks like he should be in Type O Negative

  • Or he talks like he's had years of bad road coke, or learned English from Sylvester Stallone.

  • Go to new jersey and then rethink your statement, its just a localized accent

  • Bumblefoot:

to be like me...."speak like a cross between sylvester Stallone and Yogie Bear". What a legend.

Also, he gets some damn good tones! I thik I prefer his old album's valve tones though, I have to say. But for sheer diversity and quality, it seems to be between this amp and the fractal audio rack.

  • ayy boo-boo wheres adrian?!?

  • how people get so damn good a gee tar tar

  • Practice.

  • cool!!! i want more! :D

  • what a nice guy, and a genius and virtuoso of these days

  • Maybe one of the Most Underated

    Everybody is taking about Petrucci..........

    Too avant-garde I guess

  • There are guitarists that would kick Petrucci's ass even on their worst days.

Bumblefoot and Guthrie Govan are, in my opinion, guitarists that can outshine everybody else.

  • You're definitely right...

  • Govan is incredible.

  • lol, if you want avant garde, check out Eugene Chadbourne, Fred Frith, Keith Rowe or Derek Bailey.

I love Ron Thal, but if you want avant garde, he is NOTHING compared to those guys.

  • Ron Thal doesn't try to be avant garde. He's rock guitarist at heart.

  • i want a reverse delay effect

  • you can get the boss me-50 it has a built in one as well

  • Dude guitars suck lol

  • very cool.... thal is the man anyway...

  • The man.I still don't like the amp though.

  • I like the sounds here more than the sounds he uses on his album. I think his albums would be of so much more quality to me, if the tone did not sound like a little kid playing with a line 6 spider :p. The playing is still awesome though. I just don't like the tone

  • I want to add this: Actually on Normal and Abnormal his tone is pretty good :p.
