buddhisum has no RACE.. no matter if he is a Sinhala or Tamil or Muslim. as long as a human being. we are buddhists and we shoudnt be racists. let others be like that. change urself and try to attain nirvana. coz we came alone and we r going alone and not with our people. and no one can help us but the Lord Buddha has shown us the path. its we, who should go on that path.
may all living being b free from suffering..!! all the tamils, sinhala, muslim and all the other races..
i want to become a monk how could i become one im from ecuador and i have little money i already have a ticket to madrid but from there i dont know where to go.. any advice
I have been trying for the past 4 years to make money to travel to india to look for a good teacher to become a monk, but I have trouble keeping a job for some reason I don't quite understand, and now I am even in dept. I hope soon all of this will work and ill go to south east asia, and find a wise, truthfull teacher.
@fucklttefuckranil whatever is best is what works in each person's own life. There is no one best faith/philosophy/religion for all people.

I started reading about buddhism around 18 years of age and the idea of becoming a monk has kept popping up for the past 5years.I am currently 29.I have so many questions!Do you have any advice for westerners about how to prepare prior becoming a monk???Thank you for being so generous with your time, bc I really don't have to many people who I really think understand what this means to me.Finding this on YouTube could not have come at a better time.Thank you again...Kind regards
i wanted to become a monk when i was 18 n still wanna be but my mom wont let me. as normal people we just try very hard to entertain our eyes, ears, nose, tounge and body by doing various things but never get satisfied. what a monk exactly does is removing all the attachment and become totally free from everything.even from himself. that is nibbana. u must have a lot of luck to become a monk. Triple Gem bless to u. BTW i m a Sri Lankan Live in London. Thanks Ven Subuthi for his service in my SL.
Thank you for speaking to me last month Venerable Subhuti. I am currently transcribing your old interview, and each time I listen to it, I discover greater insight. Your practice is beautiful-

@fucklttefuckranil It may be the best for you but not necessarily the best for everyone! It is all relative!
