  • Peru's star was Alberto Fujimori. Unchecked power will corrupt. If you give a damn about S. America. Stop thinking dope is chic/cool. The rebel's/guerilla's don't have arm's factories in the jungle. People are making money off this. Look where those arms are being made Europe, the US, Israel, China or Russia. The generals train the soldiers while the kids party with their daddy's money for dope.

  • This is ridiculous that a country/nation so beautiful as Colombia has such an ugly reputation. As a matter of fact, Colombia ranked 2nd in the list of countries with which whose citizens were happy with their nation. Therefore Colombians are extremely happy with their country. Way happier than Americans with the US. Seriously !

  • Oh of course, we're going to believe some pseudo-science poll. There is war still going on in Colombia, half of the country is controlled by the FARC. Please, let's not be naive enough to believe some random poll published online.

  • Thanks very much for you response. But this is true. And while I did state this truth I know of course that it does not take away from the negative stuff and violence that continues to plague this South American Nation. I know all about the issues and conflicts and even have some ideas that could potentially bring more peace and help put an ultimate end to this ongoing violence. And yes I do believe the poll, and I am not being naive. I know that these issues still exist !

  • @clockworkorange1986

Half of the country? How old is your information lol.. In 2000 they ruled 40% of the rural areas. Rural areas don't matter as much as towns and cities do. Almost none of the towns in Colombia are now ruled by the FARC as compared to 10 years ago.

  • Get aout los gringos de colombia!!! why donot say any thing about your problems???? Colmbia has 46 millones de habitantes and only 0.09 % belong to the crime. the others are good peoples workes and have good valores.....

  • hey if you are going to say something pleas let it be understandable for the rest of us ( choose: english or spanish)

  • Greetings to Uribe and AUC former members! Let's smash the leftist bastards once for all!

  • This is a refreshingly unbiased report, perhaps the only one I have seen. Both the president and the opposition are allowed to express their viewpoints freely, the viewer makes up his/her mind who is right. Humanitarian issues aside, Alvaro Uribe has led Colombia out of the depths dark despair. The transformation in Colombian society is nigh short of miraculous, and history will judge Mr. Uribe as one of if not the best President Colombia has ever had.

  • I absolutely agree! Uribe is finally hitting the situation with an iron fist, which in countries like Colombia, is the only remaining method to solve the spiralling crime and violence. Some Western politicians and thinkers don't understand this and frown upon it, because they are strangled by their political correctness. Sometimes you just have to be able to sacrifice for winning. In other words, you have to kill to save lives. It just depends on who you actually kill for this cause. Viva Uribe!

  • Oh my God! A positive story about Uribe! Journeyman pictures is really CIA after all?

  • Disney owned in fact.

  • Exactly the same story in the Philippines Uribe and Macapagal Arroyo are Bush lackeys. Human rights activists are being kidnapped, tortured and killed as we speak by the Philippine Military and paramilitary

  • they are so far from getting peace in their country... peace and law... the ppl has to change first before trying to change the farc...

  • this is happening in mexico too, this is what happens when you have corruption in your system for too long. It gets worse and worse.

  • I agree with you on that, Colombia's history has been tinted with corruption ever since when the country was created (Patria Boba). Because when Gaitan was killed in the 40's corruption already existed. Las FARC are NOT a group that fights for its people, a group that kidnappes, kills and black mails the peopel that they are supposed to help as well?. To finish this i don't love Uribe, but he is the most productive president that i have seen in Colombia for a long time.

  • i heart farc fuck da paramilitaries and terrorist government

  • ABC is a left wing anti white network, they alway's show how bad white people are, and in this case how bad nationalists are, and how good Communists are, god i wanna punch there faces in.

  • oh excuse me but it was my assumption that ABC is runned by 'white people'. am i wrong?

  • dont be stupid they promote false communism

    like china or Korea

its more lke rich against poor

  • false comunism... whats wrong with comunism? ... and the only reason taht colombia cant beat the farc is tath their presidt is an asshole... he is just so stupid...

  • No not really, i always wondered then how is the best way to defeat them.? According to you?

  • If Bush advocates Uribe then he must be a real piece of shit....feel bad for that country

  • i think he (Alvaro Uribe) is going to a bigger terrorist then them...

  • speak for yourself, he is the most popular president in Latinoamerica, that says a lot about Colombian people supporting him.

  • The left wing groups are not a political movement anymore, but criminal organizations only interested in drug money and extortion. The Colombian government, Uribe or any other, has the legal and moral authority as well as the responsibility to bring peace. If that means wiping out the guerillas, then so be it. To negotiate with them is literally the equivalent of negotiating with a mafia family. The goverment MUST, however, address the issue with innocent civilians. It is UNACCEPTABLE.

  • George Bush is responsible for a lot of this ,but the Bilderberg group is the people who funded him and both sides of every war

  • "congratulations my ago" 03:47 , eww ! bush creeps me out. he sounded like a slavemaster when he said that.

  • viva FARC viva

  • Wars, subjugation, corruption, exploitation and more wars.

That what you get when you ally yourself with US

  • narco traffic is operated by cia, isn't it?

if there's no u.s. intervention, colombians can decide their destination by themselves. if there is no intervention of the u.s. and zioswines, the world would be much better place to live.

  • ehhhhh not really.

marcotraffi controlled by the CIA? you seriously have to get the hell off pot.

  • take a look afganistan, that country was destroyed by narco mafia, cia. so as colombia. if you don't know CIA is the world mafia boss, then you are blind retard.

  • no what destroyed Afghanistan, was Al-quaeda groups and Taliban government, all of their weapons came from selling heroine all over the world, since Afghanistan is the biggest distributor of morphine in the world, that is how they financed their weaponry. No I didn't get this from FOX, CNN, ABC and what not, its all reading, It is absolutely dumb that you consider the CIA as the organization that controls the drug business in Colombia, as it would benefit them more to legalize than to fight it.

  • google and read the real report.

i guess u need to educate yourself more.

    Afghanistan: Heroin-ravaged State

    by Prof. Peter Dale Scott

  • Also you shouldn't make generalize assumptions about other countries problems with other countries as well. By the way the author says that he doesn't know of a single explanation of the increase of drugs in Colombia, you can't say for sure that they themselves have increase the drug trade in Colombia. By the way Plan Colombia has worked for the benefit of Colombia, that is why Uribe is so popular now. And don't come talking shit like you know everything you are no Colombian to say what...

  • The problems of the countrys are or are not, and what the solutions are, I mean have you lived in Colombia? NO. Also what if the US didn't intervene? I myself as a Colombian don't want to live in a communist dictatorship. Also you should add human right violations by the Cuban government in your website; it seems kind of incomplete and very bias.

  • do you really believe Al-quaeda exists?

and bin laden is the leader of Al-quaeda ?

haha, "chingada aqui el pollo loco, no tengo nada que decir a amigo," haha

  • yeah yeah great come back, by the way most evidence seems to be against what you say. Too bad you seem to believe whatever you feel like. "El pollo loco? Yeah that is what kinder garden kids say. El sapo mamerto putrefacto, dictating ethics and appropriate behaviour, yet he is bias in his points of views and never judges the behaviour of others of his line of thinking. This is their anthem "if they kill is terrorism, but if we kill is revolution".

  • Interesting documentary, too bad its dripping with fuzzy left wing anti-Americanism. The left is long on complaints, short on solutions.

  • I like Journeymanpictures pictures but this interviewer is giving it a biased name, rhetorically telling the President of Colombia that FARC must give in when that's NOT what Uribe said at all, and the FARC ARE terrorists, how'd you like to be kidnapped or car-bombed? The video did do a good job of showing both sides though.

  • using the red cross emblem goes agaisnt the rules of war

  • kidnapping... murdering.... and massacring GOES AGAINST HUMAN RIGHTS !!!

  • obviously but why make it worse by removing the only thing that helps some the red cross is a neutral org that helps all that are affected by war by doing that the colombian gov might of made red cross ppl work more hazardous and keep thousands of ppl from getting help..human rights is western ploy in continuing with there neo colonialism

  • LOL The way he says FARC is hilarious with his accent.

  • I'm deathly afraid of any organization known as FUCK!

  • LOL Yeah, you don't want to fuck with them...

    :)

  • i know whats going on in iraq, its evil,so i have to assume this man and his acts are evil.I know bush is evil and i know blair is evil.hmmm.....

  • How sad it would be to be Columbian, but every loss of a Columbians life, lessens us all.
