I would like to see this logic applied to the war next door in mexico where people who are shot by drug cartels because they want to be superheros and do the right thing. There are people who will strive to be their best and do good things and there are those who will do their best to do bad things. usually these 'bad' people are convinced they are the good guy. confused statistics.

Sometimes I feel bad pushing myself to be my best when I'm around people who aren't as motivated. For example, I can't talk about researching grad schools with my buddy who has been in community college for 8 years. I feel like a douchebag bringing up my educational goals with him since he is so far behind me. I recently was shown multiple oppurtunities for my career. I was unemployed and desperate for a job so when two landed in my lap i was flabergasted. but I had to stop and think about both jobs. One was as a video game tester and i had a pretty good chance. the other was as apartment maintenance at my home complex and a sure thing. Which would you choose? The hard working, long hours, always drenched in sweat labor job or the cush job sitting down playing video games?
@Bromopar I chose the sure thing, the apartment maintenance job and my life has gone completely 180 degrees. In one month my back due bills are paid and next month I'm looking at even saving some money. Sure the maintenance job is brutal work, I come home sore, dirty and often late but my family means more to me than anything else in the world. I passed up the cush job, the easy money for the tougher road and now my daughter thinks I am a superhero.

Aman - I cant believe you haven't blown up on youtube yet. I love your videos. I have been trying to get myself into making videos for quite a while now, and I'm going to do as you suggest and stop saying i'm going to do it and start working on achieving my goals!

I recently was shown multiple oppurtunities for my career. I was unemployed and desperate for a job so when two landed in my lap i was flabergasted. but I had to stop and think about both jobs. One was as a video game tester and i had a pretty good chance. the other was as apartment maintenance at my home complex and a sure thing. Which would you choose? The hard working, long hours, always drenched in sweat labor job or the cush job sitting down playing video games?

@Bromopar I chose the sure thing, the apartment maintenance job and my life has gone completely 180 degrees. In one month my back due bills are paid and next month I'm looking at even saving some money. Sure the maintenance job is brutal work, I come home sore, dirty and often late but my family means more to me than anything else in the world. I passed up the cush job, the easy money for the tougher road and now my daughter thinks I am a superhero.
