They have always had a reggae-ska influence in to their style. i was only born during the days when those wicked ladies started to play and i don't thing there is much to be confused about this. ;-)

It was a lot of things but the alternative soundtrack was integral to what makes punk so exceptional. It helped draw attention to issues that particularly the young and disenfranchised felt no one understood or even gave a shit about. It provided a cohesive glue that changed and motivated many to adopt a "give it a go" atitude. Like we could change the world and if we didn't, at least we had a great time trying.
