@ThePhatShack it was a different video where they got all 3 cars Aygo, C1 and 107 and asked people to vote for the one they liked the best. They chose the Aygo but Clarksons advice was get a citreon C2 instead. Me, I'd rather have the Nissan Pixo.
wow Europeans drive really small cars. here in Canada roads are full of mid size and crossover SUVs and full size or midsize sedans. Toyota rav4, corolla, venza and honda crv, civic and accords are the most popular.
@bleble17 The mass of them - yes. However they have very smart people there. Unfortunately as we know most are stupid. Also the country is run only buy profit. the government also seeks profit which it musn't.
wow... i had an epiphany!...what he said about cars being designed THEN bult CHEAP is what is wrong with US automakers all along!!!......FORD and GM can make good cars they just choose to build them out of cheap materials...rather than DESIGNING a car to be CHEAP...which FORD seams to be getting better now
Yeah, this has been going on with most American car makers since the 80s which is not the least bit attractive since they treat what's under the hood the same way. But in my opinion, that's NOT making a good car and they do this by choice because all that matters is that it sells and meets legal standards.
@GeneralHoohah Oh rubbish! SHIT WHAT DID I JUST SAY! ok here we go, another person saying america sucks and england is better, got suck a dick , i don't want to here it from you!
@GeneralHoohah Crash tests, behind Russia the US has some of the strictest crash tests in the world. In Russia they put a 2,000 lb concrete block in the trunk and crash it into a wall. In the US was crash the car from all sides.
@GunsOfThePhoenix This type of testing leads to taking a crash with brute force and not on avoiding a crash with agility and ease of control over the car.
As for American cars... Aren't trucks and the like qualified not as "cars" and hence they have to meet different safety standards?
i own an aygo. it does it's job very well and compared to other cars it's super cheap to run. absolutely love it. the fact that road tax is only 20 euros a year (in germany) puts a massive grin on my face whenever the topic comes up. so much fun seeing the shock in peoples faces. :D

I just want to point out that the maker of this video left out the part where they told you not to buy one of these cars and to go buy a Citroen.

The newest Focus is actually quite good and reliable, as is the Fiesta.
Shrewmy 1 year ago
@Shrewmy Those are made primarily for the European market. I've yet to see a Focus or a Fiesta in the States.

What a clever idea... I don't understand why they don't have those in the US.

U.S. simply doesn't like hatchbacks and super small... anything, that much. We like big sedans and big SUVs for no big reason at all.

Oh, thats because most americans are fucking twats. :)

@leethehunter I'm an american! The fact that more and more Americans are admitting it, says something very grim about our country.

This car costs twice as much in Norway. The Norwegian government hates cars, obviously.

I'll still have to pay tax on the car, so I won't save any money doing that.
