  • earths problem is not over population, but rather bad management. ddt was banned based on one book? sounds fishy to me. more like corporate interests were involved. gov/corp interests are why there is devastation of enviroments in poor countries it is not them that are chopping and mining and digging it is outside interests. they get to suffer the bad affects however. they are not allowed to develope otherwise they would be competitors on the world market and drive prices down quality up.

  • Thanks for your early works regarding the environment. I found this video when researching materials on DDT to enter in a contest to win $300 + 5oz. of silver talking about the unintended consequence of gov. regulation. I think you should enter this video- IMO your sure to win. Search user: VictoryIndependence video: Win 300 dollars

  • Good job, Lou. I miss watching you on KIRO.

  • google DDT Fact check it .... You enviromentist idiots need to find out whats ,,what ...

Im sorry for you ...I mean , out of six billlion people , how dose it feel like to be one of the stupider ones on the planet

  • you should be charged with murder for wasting 3 minutes and 3 seconds of my life.

  • He dosen´t mention why DDT was baned..."remarcable insectoside" bull shit, it not only kill moskitos. It is in the top three of the worlds most dangerous chemicles. it was about to destroy ecosystems around the world.

  • "It is in the top three of the worlds most dangerous chemicles."

Where is the evidence for this? I remember countless studies showing it is completely safe for humans in even the exessive amounts used on crops at the time. I remember some bogus studies on bird egg shells and some other crap. But I don't remember anything that would be cause for alarm.

"it was about to destroy ecosystems around the world."

    Twaddle.

  • go to google and type in ddt deaths-you'll see a live time malaria counter. Now people are hungry because of the use of foodstuffs for fuel.

  • Nice speech, but you forgot to mention the biggest environmental polluter.. Humans!

You realise in 2050 there will be over 20 billion people and the earth's resources are'nt infinite...

  • Well, if there are too many people on earth, maybe you should set the example and commit suicide.

  • "You realise in 2050 there will be over 20 billion people and the earth's resources are'nt infinite..."

    Twaddle!

The growth rate is not exponential, it's not even linear any more. As a result of improving living conditions(which "environmentalists" have fought long and hard against) the birth rate in the third world has dropped substantially and the global population under a BAU scenario is projected to peak at 9 billion in 2075 according to the UN.

  • uhh, by 2050 there will only be 9 billion people...

  • very good point

  • Well, militant groups aim to make their cause an issue by getting into the headlines, thus making it relevant. However, DDT has been found to have carcenogenic properties, particularly pancreatic and liver. Also the aedes egypti was becoming resistant to DDT meaning we were begging to need a new compound anyway as they have selectively adapted to our old weapons.

  • Well BINGO Polpot Hitler Genghis Kahn Hussien Stalin have nothing on Rachel Carson and what she wrought. Ruckleshouse in EPA under Nixons Admin was set up for life to out right Ban DDT and kill millions more. The moderon Enviro Movement is just the Long march through the Instituions and sadly they are winning. The new Greens are Africas worst enemy having nothing but slow death to offer

  • Isn't he dead yet? His politics certainly are.
