That looks like the Butterfly exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. Is that where you are? I went there last year & took so many photos with my iPhone that didn't turn out. The butterflies blended in to the plants. Wish I had my new iPhone that takes video then. It looks great to get them in action. I hope you can translate this into your art.

they only live 24hrs in most cases so I say don't grab them, but if they land on you cherish the moment. that butterfly spent a good percentage of life on your finger? arm? head? hehehe' it's wonderful. Butterfly sanctuaries are awesome..

I actually know how to make butterflies land on your finger..but it works better with moths and usually only under the right situations.

I know you weren't scared. it's still kinda creepy when they fly at you suddenly. It is xpected to flinch away. So no worries. Looks like it was fun!

Isn't it funny? Butterflies are just bugs like any other but somehow, a little colour and beauty changes our perception of them as they go about their buggy business.

Another funny thing is that a hot bath or shower never feels better than when we are exhausted and every muscle aches. We never feel more alive than just AFTER we have been scared half to death.

It's all in the perception.

I just went kayaking in the Ocean in Alaska. So there are whales there. It was not scary at all ... and it's hard to tip over. You should be good.

well i must say that you should certainly go kayaking and this is why. It will be exhilirating being out in the ocean navigating a ship all on your own. the waves and currents will not be so strong as to cause you distress and if you are able to see a dolphin or even cooler a sea lion then it will be so fantastic. just remember to take a water proof camera to capture all of the wonder-full-ness, cheers from san diego

I kayaked across the ocean, but halfway across, a shark attacked me and bit my leg off. I swam the rest of the way, but then passed out from exhaustion. Then a butterfly flew me to the hospital and they reattached my leg.
