  • Nice. But the price is too much for the masses. get the cost down and sell more.

  • @johnnnyreb51 learn the law of supply and demand ... no demand=high price ... so you should really say that this needs more publicity and yes a LITTLE BIT cheaper, and public chargers for the electric version

  • I RAP AND MAKE MY OWN INSTRUMENTALS. UNTOUCHABLE!! reverbnation. com/drjayspacely (remove space)

  • The U.S. is unexpectedly very good in making electric cars. Keep up the good work.

  • GREAT IDEA!!! WHERE TO BUY THIS TRIKE ELECTRIC ?

  • dosent look like were ever going to see this one... EV maker Aptera in disarray as founders fade away..... i went to the web site and you cant even reserve one now....

  • the driving position is somewhat comfortable..... What?!!?

  • how do u recharge this thing? do you bring inside your house and charge with 220V? :D

  • by the way, You stupid usa, you had the greatest car in the world- gm ev1- this could be the car of the future, but you trashed it, and now you buy prius from japan which is worse than ev1. Ten years ago you had a full electric cars and now you are overjoyed to see hybrid like prius. People what is wrong with you!!!

  • this vehicle is too small for typical american people. do they have XXL version?

    what? they don't?

oh,I forget for typical american people is ford f150

  • @usuallyhuman What are you talking about? Typical Americans have a Honda or Toyota...

  • @usuallyhuman Also its funny, considering the car was made by an American company....

  • This car really is actually the car of the future. That actual body shape is very safe ,areodynamic and space efficient, along with great weight tranffer. It Generates a lot of downforce and has no vacuum behind it. This is the most beautiful version of the design, however we have some very small ones like that in San Francisco people rent to sight see with scooter motors. They also had a car like that in AFI by Steven Spielburg.

  • what about in a wreck? people will die the body isnt bein reinforced for safety

  • somewhat comfortable? thats not what i want to hear...

  • Give it another wheel and call it a car for focks sake!!

  • wtf 25000$ for a piece of junk like that LOL!common!

  • Joe Biden claimed that the $862 Billion failed stimulus ($400 remains unspent) “created or saved” 750,000 jobs. Economists don’t recognize jobs saved, and the jobs saved may have been keep local agencies afloat. When the money ran out, the people lost their jobs. Currently States are considering filing bankruptcy for spending. watch?v=IqmeT5ykKf0

The Govt owns 61% of GM, GOOGLE, “GM's electric-car fantasy running out of gas” and read links. The Green Movement should be free market driven

  • We need to get solar Panels on peoples roofs or property &/or some electric windmills, & a Car such as this in about every home in Cali, Can you inmagine how much our economy would increase w/ the amount of money that would stay here to recirculate instead of go outta state to some arab country, Just for back n forth work, beach/bowling/movies grocery store, & for free, we need to become a state that independent Capable, & by respending money here it gets taxed again that will help sacremeto

  • "Driver seat is somewhat confortable"

  • I am not a fan of three wheels, and the safety standards look like they need some serious work. I wouldn't buy any vehicle that doesn't have 5 seats. And the 250lbs of carrying capacity is pathetic.

  • @adsabine1 That 250 lbs carrying capacity is exactly double what the allowable trunk weight of my old 03 Neon had. Before you dismiss the cargo capacity, take a closer look at some regular vehicles. You will likely find that we regularly overload them without realizing it. As far as safety standards go, you must have missed the part when they said it was classed as a motorcycle...it has a little more safety protection than my V-Star. Cheers!

  • @Premair Like most small cars like yours or a Civic, the max load is aprox. 880lbs, so four 200lbs adults and one 80lbs kid then there is no extra carrying ability, so leave your lunch pail at home with this load, Back to this car, I must give them credit for trying to make a positive difference, I am just not a fan of 3 wheelers because I don't believe that they are stable. And yes this would be safer than a motorcycle, but as a car it wouldn't pass any crash tests.

  • 9 people are retarted

  • Too bad they're making a gasoline version. We need to get away from gas completely. It's destroying our planet, sending us to the poor house and helping evil countries (such as in the middle east.)

  • Ham

  • i rather keep my yugo

  • Sadly because it's a 3 wheeler, in my area it would be classed as a motorcycle, and hence by law I'd have to wear a helmet. Yes, even inside the canopy.

There'd have to be a change in the law to allow for 3 wheeled vehicles that comply with automobile safety standards.

  • im pretty sure i can build one for 10K or less,.. you guys

why does going green always costs so much.. green??

  • 0:46 whoa he's fking superman he was the only one lifting

i kid but looks like it

  • Fuck you whale, and fuck you dolphin! :D

  • Take that japan! lmao

  • just think in a 100 years

  • @pepene93: 100k for the Tesla Roadster. $50k for the type S Sedan that seats 7

  • Looks like a Honda Civic hatchback from the year 2021

  • I want one. second hand.

  • kill all prostitutes of the universe.

  • @apostolisxa Even the alien ones?

  • @genwave what do u mean by aliens?in greece there only alienish prostitution.

russians bulgarians ukranians and the rest of the crap for ppl that they have for population.

  • @apostolisxa you said "kill all prostitutes of the universe". It was a joke, taking universe literal.

  • @genwave yeah ok it was a joke thats why i dont get spammed.

  • I like it. just saw Running On Lithium and that I like much more.

  • can we get em in the uk in right hand drive?

  • Santa Please..

  • well my mom and dad is going to buy me the spyder there is going have to be another way to get this also

  • dey should also make a electric motorcycle

  • my 81 honda is better

  • i want one, and a solar/wind power recharge station

  • Cool, since it's classified as a m/c, you can drive in the HOV even if you don't have a passenger (at least in TX you can).

  • It can only go 100 miles on a charge; what do you need maps/GPS for? LOL.

AND.... it seems they're having a bit of trouble getting the govt to approve it nation-wide. What's that all about? Fishy.

  • put a propeller and some wings on that thing and it'll fuckin fly.

  • I want one.

  • WANT!!! WANT NAU!!!! :D

  • Comment removed

  • @heartlessvietboy yeah, its called a hybrid. you dont have to charge it, you just need to fill it up with gas :p. if you believe in those outlandish stories about cars that need no energy input, keep your opinnions to yourself

  • OMG!!! Wheels spinning to get electricity is the easiest thing anybody can think of!!!!! We must do something about it!!! Don't Listen to bull crap!!!!

  • So what... you can't drive it outside of Cali? That would suck... especially with it's overwhelming efficiency.

  • 40k.. for $10,000 more you can get a REAL car.. the Tesla. Holds a whole family and has decent range.

  • @mre2u2 correct me if im wrong, but isnt the tesla closer to 100k? and the aptera starts at 25k. not a bad price really

  • Yeahh, great and all, but I would hate to be in it when you have a head on collision with a truck...

  • @xandr96 I'd hate to be in any car with a head on collision with a truck...

  • @allenbuster LoL yeah, but especially in this one.

  • does this thing have windshield wipers?

  • MAYBE, if the hybrid is any good, with some decent range, but this shouldn't be considered anything more than a prototype

  • OOOOOO 100 miles! FAIL.

  • @mre2u2 thats on a single charge and on a full carge 120 idk why they say 100 and it charges for 30 -50 minutes

  • @mre2u2

    Ohhh shit, YOU FAIL! :D

  • this is probably the worst car ever i mean sure it saves u money but what if u are in a crash it will be destroyed right away look at it.. i rather stay with my HUMMER xD j/k

  • If my car breaks down i will just carry to the nearest electric outlet lol

  • SOLD! waiting for the hybrid one.

  • Fantastic! I loooooove the way it looks.

  • Lets get off this "Green"drag.... Our greatness was never and will never be based on conservation.. rather its innovation- and besides who in the hell would own this plastic deathtrap that runs on bananna peels and bean farts?

  • Great idea. Though, they might want to consider a four wheeled version. Just saying.

  • mythbusters proved that if a car has dents all over it then it has better mileage

  • Comment removed

  • i like it alot ,becuase it ant a tiny cheap plasitic box it has an impressive length to it and looks like a plane, i just wish the interor was deacked out in black fighter jet cabin , not a crappy green looking interor

  • No matter if 3 or 4 wheels - it is more important to take more care about our world. Why we need a Hummer? It is a vehicle made for wars. We dont need no wars and none of these cars. Go ProSolar! Think what you want to buy. There are Tesla and Aptera and many more...

  • No matter if 3 or 4 wheels - it is more important to take more care about our world. Why we need a Hummer? It is a vehicle made for wars. We dont need no wars and none of these cars. Go ProSolar! Think what you want to buy. There are Tesla and Aptera and many more...

  • Wtf >=p

  • interesting... but why give it just 3 wheels? that guaranties that it'll handle poorly and won't be something that will be good on the highway

  • @TheSmoig123 for more aerodynamic. 4 wheels is like pushing a fat woman through mud.

  • @TheSmoig123 3 wheels gives it better gas millage. And it does not handle poorly because it has 3 wheels. Watch the video. You might learn something.

  • Its about bloody time. They got more funding, according to Yahoo news - so its closer to full production. Electric cars should have been out a long time ago - but there are "certain companies" that don't like this change.

  • Why three wheels? What benefits does it have? All I can imagine is it having worse stability and traction.

  • hayabusa turbo is all it needs

  • the driving position is SOMEWHAT comfortable

  • Oil Companies own your soul! Stop them!

  • id rather be spending 50% of my cars energy pushing air then being seen in that thing

  • That makes sense, you super fat fucks probably wouldn't fit in it anyway LOL, would be funny to see your fat ass stepping out of such a small car.

    fat bitch LOL

  • that would be nice if it flies too!...

  • i want my dad to buy me an electric car : D

  • I would personally get the hybrid, just because it would give me the option to go longer distances.

  • lol... the expression on his face changed when he said the price. This looks sweet and all, but for 25-40 grand? I can get much better.

  • fuck it. stay with 4 wheels. id would never drive a 3 wheeler.

  • I love the way it wizzzzzzzzz. Why in the hell would anyone buy the gasoline version???

  • @gringodeltoro1

Well the gasoline version would still be very fuel efficient due to the low drag and weight. + there's no recharge time, and it will quite probably be more powerful.

  • I hope that this electric car, (or the hybrid version) will see the light of day. Unlike the EV1 which has been so successfully suppressed. I will keep on eye on this car until it is realised on the global market.

  • @gringodeltoro1 to go long distances... if you really love the car and think youll go over the 100 miles a charge lol

  • @gringodeltoro1 errr if its hybrid you can do that anyway... but i didnt know there was a "gasoline only" version... weird

  • @gringodeltoro1 Range

  • @gringodeltoro1

The electric version goes 100 "mpg" while the hybrid does 300 mpg. And it's easier to fill a car with gas than with electricity if you're travelling long distances.

  • @DrChrisBiomed I live in Europe, so I don't need to travel long distance, but I see your point if you live in the US.

  • @gringodeltoro1

I live in sweden and would find it slightly annoying to have to find a socket to plug in my car when I'm halfway to my destination. The gasoline version would allow me to stop at the nearest gas station, it's a mixture of laziness and convenience I guess.

  • @gringodeltoro1 well you live in the UK while I live in Romania trust me we have long distances here and since the EU is expanding and legal isues are becoming non-existened, when it comes to going abroad, WE DO HAVA LONG DISTANCES IN EUROPE since all you need is car to get from Romania to France. Or thousands of miles aren't long distances for you?

  • @gringodeltoro1 wizzzzzzzzzzzzz familiar sound

  • A recycled interior!!! just what ive always wanted!!!

  • If they made the frame as light as possible, why do they then put it full of crap like all those meters, dvd-players, 2 screens, ... ?

  • bro it's not even half the weight of a regular car :) with the junk :P and the Dc (drag coefficient) is .015 lower than world record EV1 which is .24. Pretty good I'd say xD

  • OMG that is not cheap for such a small car

  • @tiger2hunt4me Privately yes, but think about the social cost of everyone driving SUVs. Greenhouse gas clean up is part of the price of owning a car, as a tax paying citizen.

  • @tiger2hunt4me Excuse me but that is a fairly big car. The Peel P50 would be more suitable as being "such a small car".

  • i would sell my prius and get one of those in a second...if only i lived in cali

  • @citrusspoon

And if only the company wasn't on its way to bankruptcy :(

  • yeah

  • if only americans could put in a days work

     and crank out products

  • yea but if i had a prius i would sell it and get any other car in a second

  • @citrusspoon I'll trade my Porsche for it :D

  • Right know i feel a bit like Mr Bean. I wonna see thoose shitty cars tilt! :D

  • I'll buy a used one in 3 years at a Junkyard since it got ran overed by a truck

  • it can say how far you can go one way or round trip? 100 miles on chagre? Who needs that except for old ladies who only go to the grocery store once a week?

  • lol who drives over 100 miles everyday? Are you a trucker? The average driver only drives less than 30 miles a day. 100 miles to a 45 minute charge should be enough for the majority of the population.

  • 20,000.00 ???? No thanks.

    .

  • plain awesome

  • Looks like a plane without wings.

  • this is called a spaceship :P

  • This is so awesome.

  • Can You PLEASE get it to production? Next year Gas will be $5.00 and above for gallon, this thing need be in mass production and getting ready for next year reality of Gas price.

  • And you know this how? We are not running low on fossil fuel, those prices are upped, and decreased, by analysts, and the market. Wicked car though.

  • Actually, we are running low on fossil fuel. Oil to be specific. Oil is not some unlimited resource that humans can keep drawing out of the Earth without end. We have already drawn the highest amount of oil out of Earth that we will ever be able to remove - per year. From now on...oil production is going to decrease each year.

  • FYI, As statistics and graphing shows, we have PLENTY left, we will have all we can throw away and guzzle for the next century, so if you ask me, we really aren't running low on fossil fuel. The fact that right now we have SO much bottled up that oil companies are having trouble getting rid of them, says enough, or you can just look at the geographical analysis, or any other statistic on how much oil we have left. Let's just say, we won't run out in our life time, not even close.

  • prolly not ,however they will pile on loads of greed to get it to us... mostly to pay gov

debt that we couln't aford long ,long ago.

  • Doubtful IMO. the Goverment basically owns the Chevrolet Volt, they funded 60-70% of it's development, it's pretty clear they want it here. So if their plan was to up gas, and to reduce debt, why would they be pushing the highly efficient vehicles out on us so much?

  • Brian Moody s head is too big for that car

  • Still too pricey for the masses but hopefully if enough people adopt these cars they will cost less. Rollover could be an issue.

  • honeycomb structure is strong but how far it travels and if the wheels will snap off quick enough it might be ok

  • The guy's head is touching the car roof, yet he says, "theres a lot of head room"

  • Salut tout le monde de Monde Contemporain!

    Bonne chance pour le rallye!

  • looks cool but how will it take speed bumps because to go to my high school you have to go over a massive amount of speed bumps...

  • Coooool! Who sells them in the UK?

  • where is pepsi?

  • my gosh. i was expecting a wussy car.

    this thing looks pretty badass

  • im getting my driver's license fairly soon...is this street legal in florida?

  • in the end when he closes the door and drives off he proly jsut drove a few ft away fro mwhere he was lol make it look gud to drive away but he only prolyl drove a few ft lol

  • Any news when you can get one outside of California???

  • I bet if electric cars looked like NORMAL cars, people would buy them. wtf.

  • Whats wrong with change?

  • it has to be at least a slight bit gradual.

for a paradigm shift to happen, its not going to be over night.

if an electric car looked the same as normal cars than it would almost be fooling the consumer.

"its just like your car in everyway, except the gas."

  • they tried long ago with a areo three wheeler cept it was gas BUT still a good car ,search Davis threewheeler

  • "somewhat comfortable" - lol

  • holy shit... im telling my parents to get this shit for me when i become 15!!!!!!

  • If everybody had this in Los Angeles, surely put an end 2 much of the air pollution & smog in turn ppol woudnt mind driving in traffic in comparison 2 b4 since atlst they'll breathe in much fresher air[even better 4 those who drive convertibles]

  • Electic car run on the energy of mostly oil coal and gas too. They just use that energy alot less efficiently than a normal car that has been fine tuned for over 100 years for fuel efficiency.

Electic cars are doomed to fail. Its biodiesil and hydrogen fuel cells that are the way forward. The biggest step is not with cars but with the powerstations anyway. Cos its the powerstations that will be feeding the cars of the future. I hope they will be hydrogen cars too.

  • "Looks like a aeroplane... without wings!"

    - Old Man Peabody, Back to the Future, 1985

  • shit FUCK!! i remember

  • i like your ride a lot better than the goverment motors(GM)chevy volt.who wants to pay 40 grand for something that makes a pinto look like a caddy?your ride is so cool.

the world needs more people like you and less people that throw sticks at people like you.

have you seen the lincvolt neil young is working on?its on youtube check it out.

many thanks to you and people like you for trying to make the world a better cleaner place.

  • ...... I think I still prefer the fuel cell concept.

Charge just doesn't last long enough on electric cars for me.

  • Ford, GM or Chrysler could have built something like this 10-20 yrs ago, with electric 100 mile range or hybrid 150-300 mpg. They didn't because oil companies are a corporate monopoly w/ major influence on political and domestic policies to protect their moneyed interest, as well as major colluding influence thruout the auto & truck industry. US autos are less than 50% as economical & energy-efficient as EU cars. GM crushed their 600+ fleet of well-recieved EV-1 electric cars after only 3 years!

  • thanks to obama, all the corporate companies like exxon are eating their shit.

imagine if mcpain and sarah failin got elected: DRILL BABY DRILL

  • You got to be shittin all these companies you mentioned are dumb as shit.. These 3 giants are all frkn broke they are fuckin done. These retards are still making big as huge trucks that go 5 miles per fuckin gallon they are one of the biggest reasons our economy is this bad. India China and Russia all have surpassed usa in military powoer not to mention Chinas economy.

  • it's cheap too?!?!?!

  • Cool concept. Unfortunately, at the current prices, only a small segment of the population will be able to afford them. As usual, only those with plenty of money can afford stuff that helps to save money :-p

  • Aptera...you need to build that thing for about $14k if you ever plan on it being a legitimate auto option. Especially when I saw advertised, a Chevrolet Aveo, brand new, $6300 with rebates.

  • i agree its well over priced concidering its just a shell with an industrial drill motor in it , id rather get a lotus and put a drill motor in that but why would i want to rip out a mechanical masterpiece of genius that has built up its respect over the decades for a sewing machine?? cars started from rock bottom $100 the electric car will need to do the same if its to have a chance it cant just jump into the deep end, if i buy this car how much can it be resold for? worth nothing

  • He talked about the all electric version. The hybrid gets 300MPG on the first gallon and drops to 120MPG as the batteries go low and the gas motor has to kick in more often

  • it's a great concept hopefully all cars become electric soon

  • OK I'm just wondering: why do you say "hopefully all cars become electric soon"?

  • maybe something to do with oil running out

  • per una ruota si sono rovinati.. e mettetene 4 .. e che cavolo!

  • great looking EV. Crash safety rating though? Just curious.

  • Probably not good. lol!!

  • You'ld look a right off tool driving in that!

Unless you live in California or Switzerland...

  • I love it!

  • that awesome! I want one!

  • tru we just gotta kill off the human race, then the world can repair it self, trees start growing, wildlife etc and the reversal is complete this can only be implemented without the impact of the virus (us).

  • The concept is nothing new..100 miles between charges highlights the on going problem storage capacity and range. Until some form of viable micro storage capacity or fuel cell is available its all Mickey mouse...
