I've seen a fifth of rum downed faster than that. The trick it to swirl it. Tilt the bottle back when you're drinking it and move it in a circular motion to get the booze in a swirling motion. It come right out.

The guy I saw swirl a fifth, or 750ml, of rum got very sick. He couldn't take a step with out puking. Poor bastard almost killed his self trying to show off. lol
