nope the engine block out of the lightning is used in the Ford GT. just beefed up with more power.

@TTFordGT Its not the same block, the GT is different. Its set up for a dry sump, and aluminum, the lighning block was steel

haha if you think the ford gt is really trying you must not know a ford gt, I give the lighting props for being pretty badass but it's never gonna take a gt on the track.

If I remember correctly the driver in the GT was actually part of the team who built it... Not sure but this video was made around the time the GT came out. So yea he was going slow.

And the Lighning sounds great!

The person in the Ford Gt is driving terribly slow, & takes a bad line. Also, u can really hear the supercharger whine on the lightning.
