Centrifugal clutches do not work for low end power. Even if they did, the angles the truck travels on would not allow proper gas feed or carburation. Plus electric has taken over anyways ;)

Centrifugal clutches just don't engage at a low enough rpm to work effectively for crawling. This is just the main reason. There are hundreds of other reasons. Believe me, it's a subject that's beaten like a dead horse. It just doesn't work and I'm just trying to help people from wasting money trying.

I'm not sure but i thin electric motors produce way more torque than internal combustion. Those new GE freight engines actually use electric motors powered by the diesel engine.
