but i read up that when gerbils give birth if they are threaten the mother will eat her pups thinking that she is putting them back intro her womb

It is true that mothers do that, but I think it's more the case that in the wild, predators will target nests to eat the young, so the parents get rid of the young so the predators have nothing to search in the nest for and leave.

i got some good news hes alright i didnt take him to he vet but i gave him this medicine that i used when one of my gerbils bit me, well really my mom gave him the medicine.

Hey!! I'll try and help best as possible. Is it swollen and/ or red? Is he walking on it and/ or using it to pick up things as well as usual? You ain't given me much description on what his paw looks like so I'm limited on what I can say. I think the best you can do for your little boy is to watch him closely, keep his food & water plentiful and hopefully it'll heal on it's own. If he begins to loose weight or is in a lot of discomfort, I would consider a visit to the vets.

it is a concrete shed/whatever that they are in. how can you consider that natural? their natural habitat is a desert like landscape. you woudnt generally find a lot of concrete there.

First of all, I didn't make this video. Secondly, it's perfectly fine to let gerbils roam around in secure gardens. They get exercise out of it and enjoy themselves! Trust me, if this was cruel I would not have uploaded it.

the gerbil in the start is a spotted agouti. agouti - no matter where you are - are the most COMMON color in gerbils as they are the first color. agouti is the wild color. their genetic code makes that you can find them anywhere A-C-D-E-G-P-spsp.
