@dvdmike007 you're thinking of Ted Demme.
This film is directed by the great Jonathan Demme, the superior director. And it's more than just a "fun" film. It's a cult classic time capsule satire from the 80's.

As I said Jonathan has had his time, Ted needs his chance to shine as he made better movies
