I benched max at 145 back when I was a sophomore and I hadn't been weightlifting for a while. I got back into it and now I am able to max at 180 and I just turned 16. I think your not visiting the gym often enough.
I increased my bench from a 115 to 200 in one year. and I'm 15 now. dude you really need to step your game up, nobodys impressed by a 17 year old benchpressing 155. good luck
Dude, don't listen to these guys. I know from experience that some people's bench numbers get big really fast, some people's don't. I've been lifting for about 5 years and can't break the threshold of 205. Just keep up the hard work. At the end of the day, someone isn't better than you just because they can bench more.
I don't really train bench, and this is my one rep max as well. I can get multiple reps at 125lbs on overhead press, but that same weight on bench is still a little tricky for me. I'm 16 myself.
Hey man no matter what everyone om here says just remember that they dont matter only the weights do. You're doing just fine although if you arent doing your three main compounds you wont progress much. Remember squats make you big its honestly the only lift that matters. Keep up the work!

@YEUHNBD uhmm...i find it easier to use a straight bar, when you use dumbells its more single arm control.. Try a straight bar or a lighter weight. I use 40s for a dumbell press

That's how much my friend maxed out at. He has not really been lifting, but I told him 155 is not to bad considering 130 lbs his about the untrained person's max bench press. He also weighs 140ish so he did more than bodyweight.
I am looking for a 250-315 lb bench. I am not sure how good I have been eating in recent days, but I benched a little over 200 lbs a week ago. Hopefully, I can bench between 207-225
Don't worry about all the negative comments. Everyone grows at their own pace and you are thin as a twig, so lifting that much is definitely something. I would suggest trying to take in more calories to give your muscles what it needs to grow bigger and stronger.

Theres a million ways you can go to increase your bench. You could just go with your gut, and bench and listen to your body, or you could hop on a Madcows 5X5 routine.

i couldnt tell if your ass came up but if it didnt at least your getting the hang of leg drive. im 5'8'' at 195 and i still have a comparatively low bench with regard to squat and dl (405 and 430 respectively) but the main thing i noticed really helped sort of get me up into the doubles was actually abandoning my flat bench switching to heavy sets of weighted dips in massive amounts that and incline pressing boosted me from 225 to 265 in a year also ya gotta eat more way more

At the end of the day your max on bench is just one slice of physical strength, and what the hell do you get out of saying you're 15 and bench 320 etc. I know there really are a couple of dudes out their that may be capable, but 95% of claims are bs.

That's how much my friend maxed out at. He has not really been lifting, but I told him 155 is not to bad considering 130 lbs his about the untrained person's max bench press. He also weighs 140ish so he did more than bodyweight.
I am looking for a 250-315 lb bench. I am not sure how good I have been eating in recent days, but I benched a little over 200 lbs a week ago. Hopefully, I can bench between 207-225

Don't worry about all the negative comments. Everyone grows at their own pace and you are thin as a twig, so lifting that much is definitely something. I would suggest trying to take in more calories to give your muscles what it needs to grow bigger and stronger.

i couldnt tell if your ass came up but if it didnt at least your getting the hang of leg drive. im 5'8'' at 195 and i still have a comparatively low bench with regard to squat and dl (405 and 430 respectively) but the main thing i noticed really helped sort of get me up into the doubles was actually abandoning my flat bench switching to heavy sets of weighted dips in massive amounts that and incline pressing boosted me from 225 to 265 in a year also ya gotta eat more way more

So many morons with no life making up how much they bench. I'm 20, haven't maxed in ages but can probably do 230-240ish, and I'm still a lot bigger than the average person on my campus. Apparently a lot of the people posting here are superhumans. At the end of the day your max on bench is just one slice of physical strength, and what the hell do you get out of saying you're 15 and bench 320 etc. I know there really are a couple of dudes out their that may be capable, but 95% of claims are bs.
