When i did my first video with the previous OS, the video playback was excellent, clear images and very good audio. I then upgrade to the official OS 5.0.0.328 and i did the same recording. But this time the images are fine but the audio, i can't hardly hear it. Do you know why that happens. Could you check yours and let me know.

Its prob better than a regular iphone, but its no where close to as good as a jailbroken iphone. The ones in the US dont even have wifi so its not worth it

actualy two of my cuisins had the phone because the phone is a huge jag...after a day or two it stops responding so quiqly ...then at times it doesnt respond at all...other than that its a nice phone
they actually fix that problem and theres a new UPGRADE SOFTWARE TO OS .75 OVER THE AIR GO TO OPTIONS, ADVANCED OPTIONS, WIRELESS UPGRADES, AND SEARCH FOR UPGRADES

i love my storm and the suretouch, its a better feature. but for those who don't like it, it can be disabled to work like an iphone touch screen. my storm is faster than my old iphone and the screen reolution, speaker quality and sound quality are superior. glad i traded
i love the touch screen on the storm! you can move the screen around without selecting things. I can scroll up and down by lightly touching the screen, and then press down when i want to select something. with my old iphone i would end up pressing links when i just wanted to scroll, very annoying. so glad i got my storm!
i feel the same way. having facebook would be sweet, but the price for the data usage is what kills you in the contract. when you go to get any kind of blackberry, you're required to purchase a $29.99 or $49.99 addition to your minutes/texts. kinda sucks, but what can ya do.

wow you don't know what you are talking about. youtube works great on my storm. the screen is the same as on any other touchscreen, including my old iphone. 3G is available in most countries around the world, especially since it started in europe. all my itunes songs transfered effortlessly, all my vids transfered to my storm easy too. Its faster than my old iphone. newer models will have wifi. get your facts straight. im am so glad i traded in my iphone for the storm. never looking back.
i had an iphone and traded it for the better storm. new updates will be out soon to fix any bugs. it has bluetooth, longer battery life, removeable replacement battery, can get a 16G memory card giving it 17G memory total, better resolution screen, works faster, better speaker quality, works around the globe, video camera, 3.2 MP pictures, flash, faster 3G verison network, app store in the making, copy/paste, picture messaging, i heard it will have wifi soon, the list goes on. sry apple :(
the storm has bugs yes, but RIM is releasing updates to fix the bugs and make it faster. i was very impressed by the storm and traded in my iphone for it. great decision!

I used the Storm and Now I know why they have the whole click thing. It's because the screen is not as responsive as the iphone so you have to click it hard enough for it to register with the phone.
The screen is sensitive when you don't fully press down. It highlights, drags, scrolls, etc. Not every function requires a full "press down". iphone is great...but Storm is very comparible.
i must say that one of my best friends is an att sales rep and has had 3 iphones, he's broken 2 and doesn't want the iphone at all, he truly hates it and he's a big phone person. i have verizon and when the iphone came out i wasnt excited and im a huge phone fan, love phones, get new ones all the time. it has a great and sleed design but ive noticed tht most celebs have blackberries...not iphones...hmmmm...

just wanted to continue a bit; i'm a verizon customer and have been one since 1991. i was really hoping this was their answer to the iPhone or the "iKiller" as it's been dubbed but let me tell you that this phone is just not very impressive.
the typing was difficult. the zoom in/out is done not on the screen but on buttons (no pinching in/out) and the overall "flick" was slow and unresponsive again compared to the apple products.
videos looked great though and the external speaker was loud..
yes you read it right...i just came from Verizon where they held a "special on-hands presentation" for existing customers. i just spent 45 minutes toying around with one.
few flaws; did not support youtube videos, "sure press" screen is confusing, scroll capability or lack thereof (NOTHING like an iTouch or iPhone!!!), rebooting takes FOREVER as it could not access internet initially.
Verizon's 3G network is still not nearly as fast as AT&T's, much less Wi-Fi. Personally, I prefer Wi-Fi over 3G any day, and, since I have a home network, no Wi-Fi in the Storm is definitely a dealbreaker. And YES people, I have experienced AT&T 3G and Verizon 3G; there is no comparison- AT&T is way faster.
The point of my comment is based on the USER experienced speed. not the coverage. Where I live, (Sacramento Area/Valley) My coverage is always 3-5 bars 3G; or, in some cases, 4-5 bars EDGE. Plus, "CDMA Rev-A" works in bursts, not consistent speeds (like AT&T). For example, using the storm I would get 700-800kbps regularly, and occasionally 1.2-1.3mbps; with AT&T I get 1.2-1.5mbps all of the time. Finally, AT&T has discrete 3G exclusive towers. More power in a single tower=faster overall speeds.

This isn't innovations, this is called catching up and imitation. I guess RIM is the new Windows, only this time I don't think Steve Jobs is gonna make the same mistakes as he did in the late 80's. For all the people who are comparing the storm to the iphone: Please note this phone was ment to catch the people who dont like the Iphone. Such as the instant reaction of the Iphone, the real time touch and slide. Storm is slower and more realistic. But the Iphone is still better.

Dont u think the response is slow when u interact with the phone...thats what i feel....just check the portion when the guy slides his finger across the screen during the navigation part...the screen slides after he finishes his entire action of sliding thru...!!!!!!get wha i am saying...???? if u compare this with the iphone...the response is in actual real time...!!!!!!!!

i love my storm and the suretouch, its a better feature. but for those who don't like it, it can be disabled to work like an iphone touch screen. my storm is faster than my old iphone and the screen reolution, speaker quality and sound quality are superior. glad i traded

i love the touch screen on the storm! you can move the screen around without selecting things. I can scroll up and down by lightly touching the screen, and then press down when i want to select something. with my old iphone i would end up pressing links when i just wanted to scroll, very annoying. so glad i got my storm!

i feel the same way. having facebook would be sweet, but the price for the data usage is what kills you in the contract. when you go to get any kind of blackberry, you're required to purchase a $29.99 or $49.99 addition to your minutes/texts. kinda sucks, but what can ya do.

yea i think it is because when i was watching other vids they said it would be like $70 a month but the internet itself was like $29.99 so you can get it without internet.. im sure they wouldn't MAKE you take the internet just for the fact that if they did it would turn a lot of customers away

LOL no wifi No you tube plastic screen that scrached on my friend phone on the 1st day and importing mp3s and especially video is a night mare NO apps Still uses mobile web browsing which is crap And Slow hardware. oh and for those that go travelling um there is no 3g in other countries so you would really need the wifi which um this crap dont have so have fun loading your e mail wake me up when its done lol

wow you don't know what you are talking about. youtube works great on my storm. the screen is the same as on any other touchscreen, including my old iphone. 3G is available in most countries around the world, especially since it started in europe. all my itunes songs transfered effortlessly, all my vids transfered to my storm easy too. Its faster than my old iphone. newer models will have wifi. get your facts straight. im am so glad i traded in my iphone for the storm. never looking back.

i had an iphone and traded it for the better storm. new updates will be out soon to fix any bugs. it has bluetooth, longer battery life, removeable replacement battery, can get a 16G memory card giving it 17G memory total, better resolution screen, works faster, better speaker quality, works around the globe, video camera, 3.2 MP pictures, flash, faster 3G verison network, app store in the making, copy/paste, picture messaging, i heard it will have wifi soon, the list goes on. sry apple :(

the storm has bugs yes, but RIM is releasing updates to fix the bugs and make it faster. i was very impressed by the storm and traded in my iphone for it. great decision!

I used the Storm and Now I know why they have the whole click thing. It's because the screen is not as responsive as the iphone so you have to click it hard enough for it to register with the phone.

The screen is sensitive when you don't fully press down. It highlights, drags, scrolls, etc. Not every function requires a full "press down". iphone is great...but Storm is very comparible.

i must say that one of my best friends is an att sales rep and has had 3 iphones, he's broken 2 and doesn't want the iphone at all, he truly hates it and he's a big phone person. i have verizon and when the iphone came out i wasnt excited and im a huge phone fan, love phones, get new ones all the time. it has a great and sleed design but ive noticed tht most celebs have blackberries...not iphones...hmmmm...

just wanted to continue a bit; i'm a verizon customer and have been one since 1991. i was really hoping this was their answer to the iPhone or the "iKiller" as it's been dubbed but let me tell you that this phone is just not very impressive.
the typing was difficult. the zoom in/out is done not on the screen but on buttons (no pinching in/out) and the overall "flick" was slow and unresponsive again compared to the apple products.
videos looked great though and the external speaker was loud..

yes you read it right...i just came from Verizon where they held a "special on-hands presentation" for existing customers. i just spent 45 minutes toying around with one.
few flaws; did not support youtube videos, "sure press" screen is confusing, scroll capability or lack thereof (NOTHING like an iTouch or iPhone!!!), rebooting takes FOREVER as it could not access internet initially.
the 2 microSD slots were cool though!
GO PLAY WITH THIS BEFORE ORDERING!!!

Verizon's 3G network is still not nearly as fast as AT&T's, much less Wi-Fi. Personally, I prefer Wi-Fi over 3G any day, and, since I have a home network, no Wi-Fi in the Storm is definitely a dealbreaker. And YES people, I have experienced AT&T 3G and Verizon 3G; there is no comparison- AT&T is way faster.

Verizons speed is 600 kbs to 1.4 mbps
AT&T's speed is 700 kbps to 1.7 mbps
Verizon has broadband in about 10x the markets that AT&T does.

The point of my comment is based on the USER experienced speed. not the coverage. Where I live, (Sacramento Area/Valley) My coverage is always 3-5 bars 3G; or, in some cases, 4-5 bars EDGE. Plus, "CDMA Rev-A" works in bursts, not consistent speeds (like AT&T). For example, using the storm I would get 700-800kbps regularly, and occasionally 1.2-1.3mbps; with AT&T I get 1.2-1.5mbps all of the time. Finally, AT&T has discrete 3G exclusive towers. More power in a single tower=faster overall speeds.
