  • Nice handbrake turn

  • to be fair i dont care if its a drift or a handbrake turn you picky lot, :p its still cool and shows just how nippy minis are, thats what its about, so get real and admire it for what it is :-) its awesome!!

  • are you tripping thats no drift you dumb fucks

  • A drift is when the driver deliberately induces oversteer. So, technically this was a drift. :¬P But the driver needed first gear, as the engine 'bogged' . ;¬)

  • woo , mr.bean was in hurry ! lol XD

  • everyone look up the meaning of drift...loosing traction and a difference in speed between front and back tires

  • Not a drift. But nice slide

  • Not a drift. A drift is where the wheels are powering the slide. LIke Dadocuk said, it's a handbrake turn.

  • its a handbrake turn ..simple as , a drift is a controled slide using the throttle to start and control the drift , you cant drift front wheel drive ..is the ass hangs out its a slide ..not a drift

get a clue b4 posting jewses

  • hmm, i agree with u that it wasn't a real drift, but drifting FWD is possible (though not that beautiful as RWD or AWD drifts). But i've never seen anyone say, that a drift has to be RWD

  • @9ninetyfour4 i think you will find the definition of drifting is for RWD or AWD. FWD definition is 'Powerslide'

  • @Ollie133CUP well actually the definiton is only RWD. AWD is only powersliding, too ;)

But powersliding actually is some kind of drifting.

    well whatever xDD

  • WOAH HE WAS LIKE GOING LIKES LIKE LIKE LIKE 24 km/h THAT BLEW MY FUKING MIND FUCK

  • ok cool driving ash

  • id call it a skid

  • that is not a drift, it's a power slide,

  • i agree with ianmcauley1

  • same thing nobend, a powerslide is the same, can only be done in rwd and awd cars were you use the power of the car to keep the slide going the name is a hint isnt it? thats simply a well executed handke turn

  • sweeeeeet

  • LOOK a lot of u are absolute MUPPETS. a handbrake turn is a TECHNIQUE of getting into a DRIFT!u can drift both fwd and rwd cars! theres just different ways of doing it. because its harder to get the ass out when u cant spin the wheels to lose traction at the back. hence..u use your handbrake!!...or a wet road and lots of speed..and balls.

  • that is what they was built for road rallying

  • cool powerslide

  • i guess it wasnt a drift but if it was in the right gear and the handbrake was off and it slid round the corner is it a drift or just a handbrake turn?

  • that waz a handbrake turn an awsome one aswell

  • Why do people get so irrate about things like this. What TempleBag69 said about being able to 'drift' any car has some truth to it. However, it is possible to get a FWD car sideways and control it, with the help of a scandinavian flick, some lift off over steer, followed by some left foot braking (preferably with more brake bias on the rear of the car). Something that LIL0MATT028 should know all about, because he's doing a 'motorsport course' and is a 'mad petrol head'.

  • Handbrake turn, not drift. But still, nice handbrake turn.

  • Not a drift sorry, a very well done handbrake turn, but not a drift.

  • thx

  • うますぎww

    fantastic

  • errr thats a hand brake turn! Are so many muppets on youtube so bum that they can't tell the difference!

  • Im a retard.. Yea whatever m8 :)

what happens when a RWD car goes in a spin does it have anything to back it up err No you just spin, and in a front wheel drive car you can just rev up a drive away.. Lol looser

  • you.. must be... the most retarded....person ... ever. seriously.

  • When drifting a rear wheel drive car,

You use the handbrake to steady the angle of the car so tbh you haven't got much of a say in this discussion :)

  • You can drift ANY car :)

Rear wheel drive drifting will be harder as you'll have nothing to help you when in the middle of spinning out whereas if you use a mini you can use the throttle to control your direction of travel :)

^ ANY car CAN Drift no matter if it's FWD RWD or 4WD.. but 4WD will be more of a handfull^

  • Are you like retarded. RWD are the easiest and most controllable for drifting.

  • not the easiest, it's the only thing you can drift

  • you are retarded i say driftting is based on definiton. drift means glide and i say you can glide with a fwd car not as well as a rwd but its possible. keep going with the petrol heading dumbass

  • hand breakey

  • yeah but that aint a drift u gotta use power from the rear wheels to drift uvu wise its a handbrake turn

  • exacly

  • You can drift a front wheel drive cat, use the handbrake to unsettle the back end!!!!!!!1

  • That was a handbrake turn, not a drift!

  • dat was a hand brake turn coz u cant drift in a mini coz ther front weel drive

  • that might have been a handbreak turn, but with small front wheel drive cars you can drift with lift-off oversteer, minis can drift quite well

  • doesnt have to be lift off either. both of my minis can go sideways if i use a certain pattern of brake and steering twitches.

  • i teach at the university of drirfting and .......... nice vid

  • finpank...what university hahahaha yeah right

  • yeah it reli was'nt a drift drifting is mostly done in rear wheel drive cars (but i hav seen it done in afwd subaru on youtube) and he only pulled d hand-brake up and the wet road put him in a little slide but i do luv minis though class car hav 2 myself

  • In my world we call that a "slide" not a drift. I suppose old words become replaced so everything will be called a "drift"

  • too true.

  • i think we all know its not technically a 'drift' but just chill out! we know what he means! stop getting all technical!

  • minis have severe lift off over steer :)

  • This is not drifting, it's just the rear losing traction as a result of a H-Brake pull. Drift is a controlled slide under power - This wasn't controlled he couldn't have kept the loss of traction going, and it wasn't under power as the rear wheels - the ones without traction - are not driven. Drift technique is used in Rally, but the true art of drifting originated in Touge, not Rally. Cute car though.... ;)

  • well said Drift Guru :]

  • OOOOOOOoooooh!

  • thats gd u know what ya talkin about hehe but the origon of drifting was made in the mountains of tokyo in japan

  • which is the touge lol

you know the famous mountain called the touge?

  • touge means 'mountain road' there is no particular place called the touge.

  • there are no mountains in tokyo. stop watching those crappy movies. yes it started in japan but not in tokyo. GOD!

  • Drifting did originate from rallying...

  • no its not a drift hanbrake turns are diff to driffting lol

  • Its my mini cooper. Its in spain (Cantabria) and I am codriver in this rallye... It is a nice drift... :D

  • but some people say it is not a drift

  • @rhkp well.... i would call that slide as powerslide

  • @hashrulsubzero It wasn't even a powerslide, simple controlled sliding!

  • Agreed, just a handbrake turn. Cool Mini though.

  • sorry

  • @RufioMini e brake initiation isnt drifting? are you saying there are certain techniques you can use for it to be a "drift"? a drift is a drift if the rear angle of the car exceeds that of the front.... usually followed by counter steering?

  • thats not drifting..

  • sorry

  • thanks
