  • Lou reed's backing vocals make this song for me.

  • Gawd Nico could not sing AND had an awful voice.

  • People are born to be used by others=life

  • i like andy warhol photos but he was mean to her, he used her up

  • Nice video.. I didn't take enough photographs through life I've just decided

  • holy shit. /drool and all that. wow. and stuff. damn.

  • Une place assurée dans le palmarès des 100 plus belles chansons de tous les temps...

  • She fell in with a cruel and evil bunch.

They broke a butterfly upon the wheel of their egos.

After pulling the wings off they laughed to see her squirm in pain.

Poor Edie. Cursed are those who degraded her and killed her spirit.

  • I wish the movie that she herself made, of Andy Wharhol, would surface. But I heard that it was destroyed or something. I wonder why it disappeared? None of Andy's did.

  • This song always reminds me of a girl I was involved with. One of my f friends called her a 'femme fatale' and from then on I always thought of her when I hear this song!

  • check out my stuff on iacmusic.com "ruminate" and "politics of exclusion"/please buy./calling all A &Rseeking record deal....

  • kudos to you man!! :)) ...your video is almost an artform in itself!:)

  • She's Gotta be the prettiest Girl i have ever seen.

  • How many people inspire artists to write songs about them? Bob Dylan's Leopard skin pill box hat was about Edie, too.

  • I don't think anyone would be talking much about her if she hadn't died tragically. If she had lived to an age of 70, she would be a footnote like the others in the factory.

  • @1968joseph1 Well nobody will ever talk about you. Dead or not. Because you are never going to do anything close to what she did.

  • @ThePatchinko Thank God.

  • @1968joseph1 well, GRETA GARBO spring to my mind..... your comment is just lame and ignorant!

  • @daNorse She was beautiful and interesting, but if she hadn't have a tragic tale there wouldn't be any of the mystique just like the fascination with Marilyn Monroe. Beautiful, but didn't have anything artistic to contribute like great actresses who deserve their recognition like Bette Davis.

  • @1968joseph1 I think youre probably right.

  • They even didn't mind tuning their guitars :)

  • Oh, Wow, I can't believe she lived 10 minutes away from me in RI. I love her.

  • After having lived with her father and having grown up as she did with at least one sibling and possibly two having committed suicide it was a good bet she wasn't going to "grow up" and work as a real estate agent in Warwick, RI. I don't think it would be an overstatement if one were to say that most of the Warhol circle were "different." Searching would be an understatement. Edie did massive amounts of speed. The "pinnacle" never lasts that long for anyone. Talent helps sometimes.

  • 0:36 Love

  • sat on her grave, blazing on acid one night...playin VU songs

  • such a beauty,, such a waste,, casuality of the 60's

  • Tracey Thorn did a great cover of this!

  • andy must have loved fucking her

  • @KombiPode Andy was gay, and was into watching, not doing. He had a nerve condition that made it painful to be touched.

  • @KombiPode Idiot.

  • @Zippy1949

    Zippy the fag

  • wooh! @1:48 There she is with Andy Warhol.

  • This song is not how Edie was, rather, the opposite.

  • Great song!

  • check out Plimpton's book on Edie and the era

  • Yes she's a femme fatale. And if I have a homme foetal, and if she was linked to me someway, I wish she could lend me some money to go out and make parties. She's obviously weathier than me. Will somebody ever help me to make my dream come true ? (my dream is just to leave my parents and live with my Linda).

  • This songs so true.

  • @SightzTV In what way? Remember Lou Reed wrote this.

  • The Cult made a nice tribute song to her Called Edie. You might appreciate it.

  • Just another lost soul produced by our aristocracy. So this "entrepreneur" from Pittsburgh got hold of her and used her up.

  • @lebarosky what you say is (feminist?) cliche.

  • this girl had some classic songs written about her, bob dylan's "just like a woman" is believed to be about her too

  • @TomThumbsBlues1965

And Like A Rolling Stone as well.

  • She was amazing. I was too young then to appreciate her "act" but it's timeless!

    Great pics, thanks!

  • That would be Sedgwick, not Sedgewick.

  • @MowgliX i know spelling mistake i knew some1 would get on to that lol

  • @dannycefc No problem, it was just for the record. And she was the finest girl ever.

  • @dannycefc Never mind. The important one is Edie, the most perfect girl.

  • nice job~!

  • lovely pics of her and put well together, really lovely, thanks
