If clewi1091 is referring to the sustain which starts at the 2:53 mark, I believe Dave is using an E-bow which can produce powerful and infinite sustain. If you want another example, search YouTube for "Sara Jory Pedal Steel Guitar #2" and go to the 7:09 mark on her video. Coincidentally, she is also playing Mansion on the Hill. If you Google "E-bow", you will find lots of information on it.

@CanadianFamily Yes He Is Using an E-bow, My Husdand ( Dale Wagner ) Had and use one, He Passed away, and I Still Have it, in It's Box It came in...David is a Very Very Good Player, I also Have a Play List of Him, and Listen offen.
