Don't buy an 09 10 or 11 there is much better technology in bikes now the r6 had been unchanged since 2006 all other bikes have big piston forks abs break anti slip clutch steering damper etc etc my experience opinion

@KILLERKAY3 yea that one ended up selling just a few days ago, i cant buy until i get my license next month so im still debating on either getting an r6 or a cbr600.the cbr fits me better as I'm 5'8" but the r6 just makes me wet my pants every time I look at it and after sitting on it I think I can adapt to it. should I go with the r6 if I REALLY want it even thought its slightly uncomfortable when I put both feet down?its my first bike so I want to make sure I make the right decision

@Chubzter15 Wow, I just bought the same bike brand new for 6999! I don't think they thought they were going to get rid of it and thats why it was so low. Brand new 0 miles. I got a deal!! Probably not my first choice of color but hey, for 6999 brand new, you can't beat it. Enjoy your riding and be see!

How many of you dudes have actually ridden an R6 first off?! Secondly, when u got the kinda money to put into an R6 like this selling her isnt a huge deal. 600cc only put out so much power; there is a world of difference between the 1000cc bikes and the smaller class. So droppin 3g's into a 600 is straight but you cant touch the bigger bikes. Btw iron who did you contact for the passenger plugs? Im searching for them myself!

You cant tell from sitting on one... You have to RIDE it.. The R6 is stiffer and more setup like a track bike, if your new it will seem awkward at first but once you get better you can push this bike hard, the CBR is more forgiving narrower in the saddle. i think you sit lower too. I have this bike. I put 11000 miles on it since oct of 08.

I recommend any bike you're willing to buy. People say you shouldn't start with a 1000, but as long as you take your time on the bike and learn it before you go balls out on it. Any bike is good for new riders, as long as your patient.
