Thing that really annoyed me about Oblivion, other than the magical and telepathic guards...

Character design and shaping.

In Daggerfall, NPCs and enemies actually looked threatening, dark, violent, etc. - whatever fit their personality. Mannimarco, for instance, was particularly epic in Daggerfall, but he's just a god damn elf in Oblivion. No hood, no shadowed face, no glowing eyes, nothing.

I think that Bethesda could've done better the dialogue in Skyrim. I'm not saying that skyrim is bad game because of this, it's amazing, 11/10 points, and I understand that it really takes five years to make a game like Skyrim but I miss the good old "STOP! You violated the law" from Oblivion. Before, it was annoying when the guard stormed in just when I thought that I made a perfect teft or murder but now I miss it :D
