  • Are they not allowed to call an AWACS or something in case someone's moving out in the darkness?

  • Also, no NVGs for at least the lead vehicle in the convoy? Would spot any activity by the roadside, and even better would be a helicopter escort scanning ahead.

  • Doing an analysis of the risks involved, considering they are just transporting construction materials, you'd think it would make sense to airlift the supplies to their destination. Fly above the reach of RPGs and have a security perimeter setup at the drop point, drop the cargo, gone. Minimal exposure. Cost of flight time would easily be offset compared to mission failure and loss of life.

  • "If we thought about it too much, we probably wouldn't be here." That's what Fox News is for -- to help you not think too much.

  • omg waiting there must seem like agessss

  • my brother is an contractor in iraq, baghdad,we are from bosnia and fight terrorist since 1992:)long live uk and usa and Republic of Srpska!!!TAKE CARE GUYS!

  • You do realise your not supposed to announce that? you may have just put your own life at risk!

  • i`m not dead yet,smartass..my adress is available if some fuck wanna test me:)

  • @nixonba Yeah, terrorists like inocent muslim children and women in Srebrenica...or besieged Sarajevo...real serb heroes! Pisam ti se na RS!

  • @Mike713000 how retarded are you the guys in both places where mercenaries not contractors (there is a VAST diference)

  • My uncle is in iraq, hes a marine =)

  • One more thing. If you are in night traffic and everybody has lights on and your convoy drives withouth lights, than it is like marking a target on your back.

  • 4:20 cats

  • 2:00 => Why don't they shut down the vehicules lights and use night vison ?

By the way, this is a hell good job, but very dangerous.

You guys do some really great job out there.

  • it is possible that they don't have night vision

  • All too true, night vision equipment is expensive and hard to find. Most contractors call it a "luxury". I call it a life saver

  • Hmm... It is somewhat of a luxury if you think about it. There aren't probably that many night missions, so usually it shouldn't be needed

  • Good point, but everything has its pros and cons.

Pros in this case are very obvious.

Cons are - it is hard to drive with it, if they are hit and they need to fight back - everybody has to have the NV. The 3gen NV is extremely expensive. And the biggest disavantage is - when you meet a car in opposite direction with lights on, you can be blinded and even take some serious eye damage.

    Just my 0,2 $

  • Because if the enemy see or hear a convy traveling with no lights suspicions would imidiately be aroused.

Also driving with lights on would help them blend in more.

Also there are always traps, the wires on the roads conected to bombs wouls be invisible in the dark with no lights on.

  • no offenence therir a curfue which mean no one supposed to be on the road and if they have the had lights on it would revil that its millitary operations

  • these guys are not mercenaries, mercenaries are hired warriors, private security used defensive tactics

  • @Bakuganer Contractors fight for their country. Mercenaries fight for the highest bidder

  • fuckin terrorists, destroying their own country.

let the people help the iraqis, and if america is going to get more influence on this part of earth, let it come so. the europeans also are under the influence of U.s.a.

    thats life today

  • Who is the mercenary

MySpacee? these guys or those Syrians and Saudis and Egyptians beheading innocent Iraqis? that fagot Zarqawi was a fucking mercenary, he had no business in Iraq killing Iraqi shias

  • what I don't understand, wouldn't it be just as cheap and much less dangerous to use helicopters?

  • helicopters can't carry nearly as much and i'm sure helicopter fuel is expensive.

  • helicopters is an easy target for land-to-air missiles, and to expensive to replace a heli.

  • did he say Iran at 4:40?

  • he said iraq....

  • I think he made a mistake and said Iran and not Iraq
