My favorite Depeche Mode song of all. Before finding it, I listened to Depeche Mode sometimes but never really appreciated their legendary status and artistic mastery. Now, of course, I do.

A note on the video: pretty interesting and the broken hotel shots fit the theme of the song best. Also pretty cool to see the whole camera-moving-while-each-band-­member-sings shots.

watching this video so many times, I think I understand how they did the tipping effect. It seems to me to be a blue screen effect, due to the fact that they appear to be standing still, and if you look closely enough, you can kinda see a bit of jitter where they didn't quite sync properly. Still, for using 80s technology, the effect is pretty seemless.
