Maybe they picked christianity for right or wrong reasons, but the model they gave explained it to me. I was trying to make an argument to all this stuff but i realized it is pointless. This is just a sad attempt to bring down well based arguments by self-referenced ideas. The fact that not everything in the bible has an astrological references does not mean that anything does, and backwards. What I find particularly intriguing about most critics of the ZEITGEIST debunkers is how readily they would remind Bible believers not to attack the messenger just because they disagree with the message. I was under the impression that Zeitgeist wasn't saying bethlehem is a fabricated place, but that it was named after Virgo, or the city's name was used in the Jesus myth because of it's relationship to Virgo, or both. I think to refute Zeitgeist, the source of the city's name needs to come under question, not whether or not the city exists at all. Try typing "Bethlehem, Israel" into google maps. I don't think anyone is denying that Bethlehem is a real city.

Maybe they picked christianity for right or wrong reasons, but the model they gave explained it to me. When jesus told parables, e.g. the good samaritan, he wasn't saying that all jews are evil and all samaritans are good. What was important was the message (who is your true neighbour)

Im not a christian. So i can observe more objectively. And what seems to me, is that this documentary is much more correct and thorough about christian doctrine that zeitgeist ever was. Also here we are given precise quotes and explanations. Only thing that made sense in zeitgeist, was the nature of currency. Wasnt it the antichrist that says there is no christ? We also have one Flavius Josephus, the person whose writes his work in tandem with the New Testament. There's also Sabinus, deceased brother of Vespasian, the writings of Luke and Acts are dedicated to him as Theophilus (look it up). After the holy trinity of Flavian emperors, the next emperor to honor that name (41 emperors later) was Constantine.

Oh my, this gets much worse. Basically part two continues to attack some of the authors cited in the making of the film Zeitgeist. Also, this film severely confuses, misinterprets, and adds its own interpretation of Zeitgeist. The writer/producer would do well to learn the meaning of "straw man argument" because, so far, this film is nothing more than that. A high school debate team would have a field day with this piece of work. But I will continue to give it a chance. On to part three!!!

How does one tries and manages to mix Blavatsky, theosophy and Hitler? I wonder... This film is clearly targeting easy prey- part of Americans (rather big part, I have to admit with sadness), who do not read books, but rather consider TV, newspapers and Internet a good enough and reliable source of any information. Anyone why actually read the "Secret Doctrine" of Blavatsky would understand, that film authors are "fixing" the quotes and make false parallels.

I was under the impression that Zeitgeist wasn't saying bethlehem is a fabricated place, but that it was named after Virgo, or the city's name was used in the Jesus myth because of it's relationship to Virgo, or both. I think to refute Zeitgeist, the source of the city's name needs to come under question, not whether or not the city exists at all. Try typing "Bethlehem, Israel" into google maps. I don't think anyone is denying that Bethlehem is a real city.

Why does he keep talking about who was cited? who gives a shit, zeitgeist gives it to us like it is. I hate it when people try to refute anything that sparks controversy upon a religious doctrine. I'm sorry, but this just isn't good either. I could see a few problems with some of the material presented in Zeitgeist, but this is on a different level. You failed horribly if you wanted to convince any non-christians. I love the Satanist angle though! Very original ;-)

@dechav1 By your statement you are basically saying that Satan produced the tree of knowledge and not God, as it is stated in the bible. Satan did not: he temped Eve and Adam into sinning to further his attempt to show God that "sin" is inevitable and that his own malfeasance was an unjust judgment. What I find interesting is how people can embrace the concept of special relativity and not be able to comprehend the free will argument. Another "omniscience" jab I often read is "If God knows everything why did he call out Adams name, looking for him and why did He ask Satan about his whereabouts in Job.

I was thinking this, too, thanks to your profound wisdom and observation skills: 20 or so years ago two US air force took 4 people hostage and literally killed them on while on camera. And you know what? We had VIDEO proof! I am enraged because these monsters were still given a trial by jury and the case dragged on and on and then what we thought should have been done square one-- they were sentenced to death. All that time wasted!

@RoddyMyagi Was it right to let those punks have a trial even thought it was blatantly obvious they committed heinous murders (while being recorded)! Even so, years later, the victim's family had to go through an appeal by one of the killers that claimed Desert Storm and "bad medicine" caused him to flip. He lost the appeal and now, close to 18 years later they were finally executed. The defendant's attorney tried to convince the jury that his client didn't feel he had committed a crime.

Before space time existed, God created a heavenly host of beings that would freely and willingly worship Him and He would adorn them with love. You know the story: one of those angels got proud, teamed up with 1/3rd of God's creation and entered into a battle with God and LOST. "I'm innocent because you made me and you gave me free will and it's not my fault I chose disobey.

I don't want to believe in a God that gives us an ultimatum, that's fucking sadistic. MY point was that if He does exist and does love us, he would've skipped Earth and created all People equal in Heaven. Not stick us on a fucking huge floating rock to see which ones would follow.
