They are basically under GT3 rules, the regulations are allready posted on the FIA webpage if you want to know more, RGT is the name of the new "group".
There was one Exige racing in the spanish tarmac rally championship. Search for Vallejo Lotus Exige if you want to see it in action, it isn't very competitive copared to the Porsche.
@rallyefrance it was tour de corse 1999 i think, when both citroen xsara placed 1 and 2, leading to colin mcrae famously saying that even his grandmother could win tour de corse with a xsara kit car. After that they changed the regulations of kit cars. I dont know the exact change but my guess is they forced them to use restrictors, since the 2.0l engines produced up to 300 horsepowers, in a car weighing about 300-400 kg less that wrc cars.

The F2 Megane was the daddy. The days of the F2 Renault Megane, Vauxhall Astra, VW Golf etc in the British Rally Championship was awesome.
